  • Things are looking up! 2009-11-09 09:37:43 They fixed my baby. They didn't even have to wipe her hard drive clean. My "Genius" also told me that I kept it in very good condition. But I mean seriously, I just don't have to guts to bang around a $2,000 machine all willy nilly...

...I got my new car :-P.

Oh man it's sweet. The sounds and all. It's loaded with everything...except an mp3 adapter, but I am getting that installed later. No way am I wasting a Bose stereo system on a wireless radio adapter. That's just wrong :P. My bank account will be crying from now on T_T. But then I actually drive the car and it makes me feel better :-D.

I think I have motivation to edit more now. Hopefully I can get going on my new amv.

Also, I won my first competition by vote! It was with a video I really didn't think would be able to win, my Vampire Knight one. I mainly used it for practice to get familiar with Premiere, but no complaints!!

I'm losing my office which is sad :-(. I'm moving to another one, but it lacked window...In this day and age though I am just happy to have a job so I can't really complain. One of my buddies is still out of work and another one is getting laid off, so a windowless office is a-okay...
  • I'm bad. Long time long time I know 2009-11-02 09:15:03 So it's been a bit of a while since my last journal entry. So much going on. My poor computer crapped out on me. There was some NVIDIA recall on my graphics card and I knew nothing about it. May or may not lose my stuff but at least I edit my videos using my external hard drive. Still it's a bitch :-/. I'm so mad.

No choice but to get a new car now. Something ELSE went wrong with it and I just don't have to heart to spend all of that money on repairs. Next question, 2 year old, low mileage g35 or a new Milan? The new Milan would be cheaper...but it's not a g35...

Japan was a fabulous time. I took so many pictures and videos. I'd planned to upload the photos this weekend but...

    I'm ready for Friday already...
  • Wowza 2009-10-07 10:23:56 So, turns out my coworker needed a new liver!! She's only 25! How insane. By miracle (and unforuntate tragedy for another family), then found a young donor 5 miles away. She is extremely lucky.

Wow, so Japan THIS WEEKEND!! It really creeped up on me! I have just about everything ready to go. I'll start laundry tonight and then packing tomorrow and friday. I want to be ready to go on Sunday, balls ass early and all. Trying to load up my Ipod with stuff for the long...long...and did I mention LONG trip? I will try to get in another journal before then (maybe even on the trip) but it's gonna be tough.

I am sore as you know what from class last night, but I'm starting to get my back walkovers! I can fall into a bridge from standing, but kicking over has been the issue. I did it in pieces last night. I worked on those, then I worked on raising up into the bridge from laying on the ground. I was able to kick over that way with a couple of tries. Luckily I have natural back flexibility or I'd be very very bad off. My back is still sore though because I don't use it quite that often. We did frog leaps again and after class my legs felt like jelly. Couldn't go up stairs, but felt like they would collapse when going DOWN the stairs. And of course the usual ab work. So all in all it's a decent week I'd say.

  • Wow, next weekend I'm out of here! 2009-10-01 09:05:39 To Japan I go! Nothing too new right now. This weekend I'm going to get a little more agressive about everything I will need.

Got a FREE pair of $70 jeans from the GAP. Yes, free. It was awesome. My friend found this stack of coupons for free jeans (with the purchase of one item) and shared the wealth with all of us :P. So I grab a $4 lotion along with the jeans. She rings it up at $74, then she used the coupon and it went down to $4. She was totally shocked, but happy for me.

I also got $47 in free supplies at Petco this weekend. They couldn't ring up my gift card, so they just gave me a freebie. I still got to keep my gift card too. My cat has a new water fountain. He played in it for a bit with his paw, but he's actually drinking from it now which is the most important thing. I also got him a new enclosed litter pan which he actually loves. He'd been using and open one all of his life so I wasn't sure how he'd manage. Also got him a new toy. It's a bag that randomly vibrates so it keeps him curious. Because it's random it also makes him jumpy.

U2 played at the stadium on Tuesday. That ruined my gymnastics class because traffic was so bad that I couldn't even get there >_>. I was lucky that I could evade the traffic enough to park myself at home. Apparently there will be make ups on Saturday.

Oh and my co-worker had to be taken away by the ambulance yesterday because she likely has swine flu. Isn't that absolutely GREAT?! She's been sick since the weekend yet still brought her butt in. Hadn't eaten since Saturday, had a fever, was puking in our restroom, and then was too weak to take herself to the hospital. That's about all I need before leaving the country. I wouldn't make it past customs at that rate...I'm doing my best though between my echinacae tablets, my vitamins, and vit c filled smoothies for lunch.
  • Another week 2009-09-21 09:17:07 Sooo, I finally managed 3 back handsprings unassisted at last week's class!! Yes, I was failing all kinds of hard before I actually got it, but so what!! XD I was also sore like crazy for the subsequent days and am just now getting better, but I surprised even myself! I guess it was because I was forced to have no spotter, no barrel, no nothing. I'd been using those as crutches for so long. Now if I can get a back tuck unassisted, it's groovy gravy!

I'm sad about my new amv. Between being so tired and busy, it's been hard to want to get it together. The last time I worked on it was my last journal entry discussing that I was working on it >_>.

At least I have my halloween gear together this time! I'm going to be a gymnast :P. I've got some gold and silver medals from my Tae Kwon Do tournaments when I was younger that I can use. Just need a leotard, some sweatpants, a beaming smile and then we've got ourselves a gymnast! I figure this is a better alternative to being Nice Holystone (scars would confuse people) or Claire Redfield (mid-drifts at work aren't appropriate).

Attended happy hour with work on Friday and it was awesome. Chocolate martinis are de-li-cious. Yum yum!!

Looking into getting a new car. Trying to figure out how I will handle that and Japan in a year, but I just feel so bad putting soooo much money into my old car. The Honda Accord coupe looks pretty good to me!

Speaking of Japan. There is a currency exchange place a block from my building. They are currently charging $0 fees for conversions over $500. I'm soooo excited, right? NOT! Our dollar has tanked again (not that it was ever too great, but I KNOW it was worth more than the JPY)!! I'm not walking foot in there until I absolutely have to. Hopefully they keep the $0 fees going for just a few more weeks.
