JOURNAL: Ashyukun (Robert Babcock)

  • Heh. 2003-10-10 07:48:49 Vic- You'll have to wait until Katsucon to buy me that drink, and given I don't actually -drink- it should be fairly easy on your pocketbook :P

Video work hasn't really happened lately. I'm missing the audio source (still) for what I want to do for AUSA as well as figuring out a last video source. i've gotten some of the 'contract' work I'm doing done, just have the main part left to do. I really need to stop playing GunBound so much and at least try get started ripping and converting sources for the AUSA vid...
  • Reviews are fun... 2003-10-02 07:21:49 Got the most riotous review I've ever gotten for "Nene's Game" yesterday- I'll make it public once I finish my response to it.

I think I already said something about it, but AWA was great. I can't wait until next year. :D

I should be starting my next, hopefully fairly quick, video shortly, I'm just waiting for a few last source materials to come in. In the meantime I'm working on some title work I asked if I could help with. Fun. :)
  • Back from the South 2003-09-29 21:37:19 Back from AWA- had a complete blast. Can't wait for this weekend and AnimeNext. Two of my three new videos for AWA are now up and available for download:

    Video Source: Moldiver

The third will be put up in approximately a month. :) Enjoy!
  • Pros and Cons 2003-09-22 12:32:59 The entry for my AWA Pro entry, "The Greatest Anime Hero", is now up- the file will be uploaded locally when I get home (can't really do it from work). I'll admit it's probably not something everyone will enjoy, but those of you somewhere near my age or older and remember shows from the early-to-mid 80's should get something of a kick out of it. It did manage to make the finals in Pro in the 'Parody' category, which both surprised and delighted me, but I don't expect it to win - the other three finalists were all quite good.

My NES video entry will likely be up on Thursday, and I'll uppload the file when I get back from AWA Sunday night. My Expo video won't be put up for another month or so- it's intended as a surprise for someone, and I don't want too many copies out in the wild for fear of said person finding out about it.

This time in two days I'll be down in Atlanta with my wife for AWA and visting family. This will be the first con my wife has really gone to much at- it should be an interesting adventure. :)
  • It's tricky 2003-08-18 08:03:50 to get banner contest submissions accepted. It took like 3 tries for one of them.... >o<

Things are getting more back to normal around here after the blackout on Thursday. Hopefully it won't happen again... it's entirely too far to ride home on my bicycl...
