Basketball and Such

I watched the part of the Mavs' game last night, and I caught a little of the Eastern Finals as well. I think the Nets were up, but I don't really remember too well.
I still can't believe Dallas lasted this long. I think the Spurs have a real chance of winning the Series.
-_- I gave Kevin's entry a once-over (a glance), and thought I saw the word "fucking." This made me curious, so I felt compelled to read it. He didn't say it, though! Crazyness.

The House Always Wins
2003-05-18 16:55:06
Well, Dad's been running his mouth off all day. He talks so loud and he never stops repeating himself. -_- The world doesn't revolve around him, and even his coworkers think he's a complete nut. I wonder if he'll really make that million dollars.
We're all watching "Catch me If You Can." This is an excellent movie if I ever saw one. ^_^ It's just as cool as when I first watched it at that uber-comfy theater in King of Prussia. We're at the part of the movie when Frank tells Brenda to meet him at the Miami International Airport. She sucks for ratting him out, too.
Uncle Josh is angry because Daddy fired one of his friends. He's making all sorts of phone calls telling everyone how Dad's a dangerous drunk and that he needs rehab. O.o My Daddy loves his whiskey as much as the next man, but that's no reason to mess with his career. For Christ's sake, the whole family is pissed off at him.
Dad brought a huge box of pastries home. I took bites of some things and I later finished them off with Grandma and Susie. Everything in that box is different, and it's actually still pretty full. I'd like to avoid being full or bloated. I'll wait until tonight when my hunger kicks in, and I'll order some chicken soup from Allie's. Hmm, I was sure I saw some sort of chicken soup on that menu last night.
I feel like I could just sit here all night. I honestly can't see myself getting up anytime soon. My body is overly relaxed; numb, if you will. If you're wondering about my title, it's a phrase that can be quoted in two of my favorite movies. You can hear those four special words uttered in "Catch Me If You Can," and of course, "Ocean's Eleven."
^^;; Actually, I'm sure it gets said pretty often. The phrase that pays... I wonder why Mommy hasn't noticed that I'm not home yet...

^_^ Anticipating Breakfast!
2003-05-18 07:04:09
Breakfast reservations for Allie's at 8. :o I WANTED to wake up to the sound of James Brown. WinMX is dead, so I can't hear "Get Up Offa That Thing," but after a mild search, I've found that Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride" is able to do the trick. Ah, the sweet smell of breakfast. Err, I mean success; the sweet smell of success!
Me = teh Hyper
My hair needs a good washing and brushing, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Oh the joy. ^_^ Daddy did the most hilarious impression do Uncle Josh this morning. ^^;;
Kazaa just finished installing. I could write more, but I don't really want to. I have things to attend to. James Brown related things.

*Grumble* I really missed Tab these past two days, and when he was finally able to sneak online, I decided to go swimming. -_- I suck. Hatter and Tab stayed up talking until 5 AM, so Tab slept all day, ditching school. Now he's grounded for a week.
Mamamia, Mamamia! (Think Freddy Mercury)
I remember that time last year when I skipped school for a week and didn't get caught. I was so put out when I tried to do it again, but just for a day, a few weeks later and got caught. Hehe, Dr. Chud was telling me about how some students tried to hang out at home all day (like me). He remarked on their high level of stupidity, saying that the pizza delivery man got there around the same time he did. -_- It's kinda sad, because the pizza man should've been at my house right around the time I got caught.
Oh well, that was like a bagillion years ago. *Still Has No Concept of Time* So what is this little princess doing right now? Thinking of a certain boy and a certain hot tub that she wishes that certain boy was in with her earlier today. Mmm, now I feel all romantic. I'm also listening to "Rodeo Clowns" by Jack Johnson (who ELSE?!), and the Spanish-sounding guitar is uber sexay.
I failed to mention this; Susie recently arrived and will be spending the night. ^_^ She's a fun woman, and I'm glad that Daddy is treating her right. I want you to know that I am particularly ecstatic. Do you know why? Tis 'cause I can indent. I couldn't do that at the org.

A Busy Little Secretary
2003-05-17 21:31:33
Guess what I did this weekend? ^_^ Well, it isn't much, but it's been a whole lot more eventful than the norm. It's a coincidence that Hannah went to Hershey park. I wonder if she'll be jealous of all the fun we're having! ^_~
On Friday, I was totally craving Cafette. I kinda wanted to go there with Daddy, but I never came to terms with that. I was thinking of how I would struggle to remember how to get there, and how Daddy would need cash on him. Also, it was raining. That would mean we'd hafta run in the rain to get to the van.
Later that night, the whole prospect of seeing Daddy was looking grim. I gotta say, I was pretty down. :'( I see him every other weekend, and my sister(Hannah) usually comes, too. I hung out in the org chat for a while. Sulking bites.
After an hour or so, Daddy called. He was on his way, and I couldn't really believe my ears. I mean, he needed to have blood pressure medication delivered to his house and everything. I'm surprised he didn't have a stroke last night. ^^;; ANYhoo (got a little off track), I packed all my stuff and put Mommy's bathing suit on. Tom was being kind of weird; you know, acting like an idiot. He kept saying things like (paraphrased), "Are you SURE you're okay?" and "Remember, just call us if you start to feel unsafe." It wasn't his message, it was the girly and stoned-sounding voice he used when trying to get it across. :/
^_^ While me, Mommy and Tom waited for Daddy to arrive, I showed Tom a few AMVs and he exchanged insults with Andy. Tom is pretty bad at it, and so is Andy... ^^;; I really got a kick outta watching them make idiots outta themselves. Tom and Mommy left before Daddy came, because they wanted to get to dinner before all the restaurants closed.
I played Minuet for Mitten before leaving, and I was sure to leave the lights on for her. The ride to the Newark Liberty National Airport was nice because I took a little nap and had some pretzel Combos. ^_^ When we entered the airport, we flew along those curvy roads like nobody's business. It was fun! We stopped at a couple terminals and danced around a bit. Daddy's trailer had some FOD (foreign objects or debris), heh heh, on the ground, so he picked it up and we checked in at the Marriott.
We got there to find that I made a reservation at the Courtyard Marriott, not the Full Service. That's okay, though, because we ordered a room, anyway. Getting all the luggage on the cart was kinda hard; I mean, it was heavy stuff*. When I was bringing the computer junk in, Daddy stuck me in an elevator and told me that our room was 99. :o Firstly, he sent me to the ninth floor, which was totally wrong. Then, I figured that since there are probably no rooms on the ground level, it must be on the second floor. It wasn't, and there is no room 99. ^_^ Daddy was laughing pretty hard. Hehe.
*(In the middle of writing that last paragraph, I left to go swimming with Daddy. I just got outta the hot tub, so I'm feeling light-headed. ^^;;)
On the way to our room (770 :/), we noticed little trays outside people's doors. Little baby-food-sized bottles of ketchup, raspberry jelly, salt, pepper and mustard. We swiped them, and now have a pretty large collection in our room. That was around one in the morning, so we went to bed right away.
Marianna was supposed to dine with us for breakfast, be she didn't show. :( I guess she never heard the message on her machine. We woke up at 7:28 and were down at the restaurant by 8. ^_^ I had a LARGE breakfast. Know something that rocks? "The Horizon Has Been Defeated" played in the restaurant. Know something that totally cancels out the amazingness of the previously mentioned situation that rocked? They also hadta play some stupid John Mayer crap. Grr...
All day we went swimming, walked around and talked to people. I'm now going to watch "Gangs of New York" with my Daddy.
