Managed to get ZERO editing done this weekend because my computer still thinks it's funny to render one frame per minute. I don't know how I managed to make Blackbird under such conditions. So, I broke down and ordered a DV500 DVD. Pinnacle has a new upgrade deal for DC30 users. Buy a DV500 DVD without premiere for $399. Send them back your DC30 and get a $100 refund, bringing the price down to $299. Not bad says I. Not bad even if you don't send them back the DC30 considering list price for the DV500 DVD is $699. I don't think you really have to be a DC30 user to purchase the DV500 DVD for $399 though. It's just meant for people that don't want or need premiere or the other software. So if you're looking to buy a DV500, I'd recommend buying the upgrade version from Pinnacle if you already have premiere. It's about $100 cheaper than the educational price.
When I bought my DC30 last year, it came with a form to send in for a free upgrade to Premiere 6.0 when it was released . Pinnacle is now selling the upgrade for $150! Rippy offy.
My roommate is cooking bacon. Bleh. I can't stand the smell of bacon. She'll probably eat some watermelon too, which I also abhor. The only thing worse is the smell of watermelon flavoured gum. >_<
