A beta?

Could it possibly be... mine?

Ah! I had an inkling that may be the case, but was never really sure... Good to know the truth!
Ok, so as promised, here is the beta for my very first amv. There's only 10 available downloads (doncha just love yousendit?), but that should be plenty, I daresay. *g* If anyone wants to download and give me your thoughts, that would be hugely appreciated. Let's just hope the link works and that my encoding wasn't totally craptacular. Fingers crossed.
For those interested, it's a pretty slow-paced character/relationship study using Haibane Renmei and Sinead O'Connor's 'This is to Mother You'. I've not done much with the quality, bar the pre-editing cleaning process, so no cropping, resizing or post-production filtering. I'll do all that stuff with the final version if such a thing ever comes about. I think I messed up the muxing of the mp3 audio, which might have put a weird sign on the front of the video. Hopefully I won't do that again with the final thing. Anyway, enough rambling. Here it is. If you've got comments, a pm would be the way forward. Cheers!

Meh. *pokes thesis* 60,000 words and counting, but it's still not moving fast enough. Which of course is obviously why I have spent several hours of this afternoon editing my first amv. Obviously. *g*
Sub0 - Nice to meet you in journal land! Are you enjoying Furuba? It has to be one of my anime first loves, along with the almighty Azumanga.
So I'm finally at the compression stage of my first amv! Hurrah! And now I'm... confused. Yeah. I have never been a technically minded person, and all of this stuff is going completely over my head. What difference does fps make? Do I have to compress video or audio first? Does it matter? What will compression do to my lovely Huffy? I have to say, I got a huge buzz out of watching the vid play for the first time in wmp just after I'd exported my dv-avi from wmm2. The transitions were smooth! The footage looked nice! I just hope it all works, hence the betas, I guess. Anyway, back to wrestling with TMPGEnc. Joy.

*hides*
...scared now...
:)
Thanks for the welcome! Have fun with the screening, and let's hope it's more horny men than prepubescent boys... ;)
Infinity - Y'know, I'd have liked to see you on the MEP too. Loved your 'Dedication' vid. I really enjoyed the rest of the JJMEP (it now occupies a permanent place on my hard drive), but I'd be interested to see what you made of the concept. Were you planning to do anything in particular?

L&G - Words cannot express how much that rocks. *g* I want to know who had the idea to do that at Pixar. They're all there just animating 'The Incredibles' one day and someone goes, "Hey, you know what we could put to the Thriller music?!" lol!
Verm - Ah, you love us really. *g* How is it in Kuwait? I'll take a wild guess and say... hot?
Infinity - I guess pointing and laughing at newbs is kinda the forum equivalent of remembering to stop and smell the flowers as we travel along life's highway? Only, y'know, more sadistic? ;) For me, I'm supposed to be writing my thesis, in the absence of a real job, but right now I'm engaging in well deserved displacement activity. Well, I think it's well deserved, anyway. My supervisor may disagree...
