JOURNAL: EternalBlade (Colin Williams)

  • Argh. 2002-10-20 01:15:00 I haven't been paying attention to this site much, or my music videos recently. It is all because of school and my other hobbies. Recently I have been doing stuff for my account on www.deviantart.com, conveniently named eternalblade.deviantart.com ... go figure. A one page drawing takes as much time as I normally spend on video editing on any given day that I happen to edit and actually make progress. It's really a chore to sketch it, pen it, scan it, clean it, color it, then clean it again. It's just like AMV making though, you love it all the way through, then you love it more when people start looking at it and liking it. So do me a favor my loyal fans *looks out into an empty room waiting for the laughter*... right... well go take a look at my stuff, get an account if you are an artist, and give me some good advice.
  • I got it! 2002-09-18 21:59:18 I finally found the last Trigun DVD for my next video. I've been waiting for that for months. It's worth it though, 720x480 source really makes a difference. I plan to work on this video for the next month or two, and hopefully it will be finished then and I can set out on my Lain video. Wish me luck, if all goes well, these videos should outshine even VHBlade!
  • I'm here, and I plan to stay. 2002-09-18 00:07:58 I joined the ranks of AMV creators with something of a bang, showing a consistant large increase in skill between videos. This is due somewhat to the unknowing training of Kalean Senretsu, a member here, and friend of mine. He showed me many of his videos as he progressed and gained skill, and I came to recognize what was good and bad in an AMV. I watched him until he put his first video into an expo, and went with him to see how it fared in the compatition (where by coincidence I met ErMaC, and got to see his reaction to Soul of an Angel's victory). Early the next year, I got a new computer of admirable quality, and one of the first things that Kalean gave me was Adobe Premier. I also had my first job, and was buying non-regional DVDs online for a nice price. Needless to say, the fire was lit and the tinder was dry. Now I have joined this community, and I plan on making a big impact here.
