You've heard his piece on airport security, right? That was out months, if not a solid year, before 9/11.
Plain and simple: our freedom and our security are not mutually contradictory. Our freedom GUARANTEES our security, because the only way we can be secure is by being free. Not having the freedom to question our own institutions openly makes it impossible for us to defend ourselves against tyranny, because then we will be tyrants. -

First feedback was mostly positive, although I was taken to task for letting things run on too long. My impulse is to use the song as is, and not to edit it down or trim it. I discussed editing down "On" to a five-minute version, but no one I suggested it to thought that was a good idea. Can't win, can you? ;-)
When Cleopatra D.C. comes out I've got a doozy of a video for that one. -

I'm double-checking all the mail I get. I wonder how this will impact things like eBay and half.com, where everything is sent from one buyer directly to another. Can you imagine the negative eBay feedback? -- "SELLER GAVE ME ANTHRAX! NOT RECOMMENDED!!"
As you can tell, I'm trying to find what humor I can in what is one of the bleaker periods we're being forced to live through right now. BTW, do yourself a favor and write to your congressman and protest, long and loud, the current shredding of the Bill of Rights being passed off as "anti-terror" laws. For those of you who claim you have nothing to hide -- trust me, they'll find something, even if you don't think it's anything to hide.
I don't like to be a doomsayer, but I get the feeling that this is the end of an era in a lot of different ways, and the beginning of a very bleak new one. -

It should be live by the time you read this. I finally found some more footage from the textless opening for the series to finish it up with, and cheated a very nice-looking ending, too.
And props to EK for his book/illo contract! YEAH! As a freelancer myself, I know how tough it can be.
Next up is something from the Toshinden anime -- it stunk as a story, but the look of it should give me plenty to work with. I just need to agree on the choice of music.
