5 Days Before Animazement

..and after today, I definitely need these four days (the day of traveling to the convention and the convention itself) to enjoy myself.
Today, I worked at Wal-Mart, and one thing's for sure: WAL-MART NEEDS MORE SATURDAY STOCKPEOPLE. While my main job is supposed to be getting carts, most of the afternoon was spent helping customers get heavy items because of the lack of stockmen working today. To give an example of how bad employment is needed for Saturdays: while helping a customer get some infant beds, the intercom announced for a stockperson to help at eletronics. Since I was bust doing something else, I thought that someone else would do the job. Yet, when I head to put away a flatbed, I found out that not only no one helped the customer, but that there was another customer that needed help as well.
Back to the trip: one of the main guys behind the trip is asking what time the group would leave for Animazement: 8:30 or 10:00. Personally, I voted for 8:30, as it gives some time to explore the Durham area (I'm sure most of the people have seen the city, but this is my first time) as well as not having my mother miss some time for work unless my older brother works for her that day (yes, I'm 22, but I still don't know how to drive).
Well, I have a day to rest before I return to Wal-Mart for two more days of work before the convention. -
T-Minus 6 Days Until Animazement (Part 2)

Today, I sqaured away my work schedule for Wal-Mart for the next two weeks. While it means that I'll be working three of the next four days there's a few good things about it:
-I have Sunday off in case C-SMAC is able to get a room for Sunday, as the meeting is currently cancelled due to graduation ceremonies (though the club did have a meeting when graduation took place last year).
-I have Wednesday off, giving me a good day to get supplies and do laundry.
-Of course, I have next weekend off for Animazement.
Also today, I picked up for film for the trip, as I usually take cosplay photos at conventions. However, I have yet to put my pictures onlines, so the only people that have seen them so far are me, the members of C-SMAC, and some people at an anime store in Melbourne, Florida (where they know my name). However, I may bring the photos that I've taken to Animazement as something to show as I wait in line for events. -

...considering that I'm writing this early Friday morning.
6 more days until I head off to North Carolina for Animazement. Hopefully, it would be a fun convention.
On to the journal stuff:
It's been four days since te family got a Gamecube, and I'm enjoying it. Recently, I bought Luigi's Mansion and a memory so that way I can save files for that game and Smash Bros. Melee. I also have Resident Evil, but I haven't started playing that game yet.
I just came back from seeing Attack of the Clones and one thing's for sure: this is definitely one of the most enjoyable summer films this year IMO. While it does slow down to set up the love affair between Luke and Leia's parents, as well as begin Anakin's jump to the dark side, there's a lot of action that would keep you in your seat. Plus, this film will definitely please the Yoda fans. :)
Better stop talking for tonight, as I have work tomorrow. -
A Busy Mother's Day

Today is somewhat busy for me.
To start off, I got up at 6:00 AM to work at Wal-mart. One thing's for sure: the store needs some more stockmen/cart pushers to work on the weekends. That pretty much sums up what happened with me on the job today.
Meanwhile, today also happened to be my younger brother's birthday. The big surprise came after work when found out that he got a Gamecube. That was so cool, since I wanted that system, but wasn't able to afford it just yet. Obviously, My brother is playing it first (not to mention that I have to buy my own memory card if I want to save in some games). However, the idea that he got one is still cool with me.
Finally, I figured out how to get to a certain FTP site. Thus, it looks like I have a lot more AMV's to download now.
And there's still a new Simpsons left for me today, as well as some birthday cake. -
One More Thing to Add on What I Been Doing

Oops. I forgot to mention that tornado that hit nearby where I live on April 28.
Suprisingly, even though the tornado was very close to where I live (and even closer to the college that the anime club that I attend is at), my town wasn't even on the tornado's path of destruction. As for the college, while the power was out for a few days due to the tornado, it was still standing and ready for the anime club meeting the next meeting.
