Oh, wait, wait, I take that back
2010-09-02 16:20:03
In Pokemon: Best Wishes, Jessie and James are dressed in all black, rather than their usual white suits. So they sorta have a new look...though their clothes are still the same design.
They're also called Team Rocket's Advanced Troops for infiltrating Isshu.....since when were they an advanced group?

HOLY CRAP, BEST WISHES

New trailer for Pokemon: Best Wishes is out, this one 'confirms' that Ash returns to the cast [Like we didnt expect that anyway].
The thing that stands out to me is that Ash now has HUGE BROWN EYES, in comparison to his narrow black ones [They *might* have been a hint of brown in some of the movies, but my memory may be failing me]. It's kinda random after all these years, but it's kinda neat as well. From what little that was shown, he looks a bit more expressive with them.
There are a few little things that may or may not be throwbacks tot he original series as well. Ash putting on his gloves looks very similar to the first ep, his new hat looks very similar to his first one, and it looks like he'll even turn his hat backwards when throwing a ball again. I shouldnt be so excited about little things like this, but I am <3
The animation looks pretty nice too [For Pokemon standards]. I'm sure most of the clips here are from the first ep, so those scenes will probably be much nicer than later eps, but still something to point out.
So overall, I'm pretty excited for the new Black and White generation of Pokemon. In both the games and the anime, it seems like the creators are doing their best to a fresh start, a region filled with nothing but new Pokemon in a land farther away than what we have seen before, a new group of traveling partners for Ash and Pikachu, a whole new adventure. Am I thrilled with the revealed Pokemon designs so far? Not most of them, no. But that's really pretty average, and with another 100+ Pokemon, I'm sure there will be many I enjoy as ones I don't.
The only downside so far is with Team Rocket - some production sketches leaked a while back, and it looks like they will be in their same olds TR costumes. I don't mind them being around at all, but they've been wearing the same pair of clothing since episode 2! Shake it up a little, Ash and Brock have been through 4 and 3 sets respectively, at least!

XD I just got to that part myself in P3P, I was pleasantly amused~
I wouldn't mind a P4P myself... as much as I want to see some P5 coming my way.

Concerning Baccano
2010-08-21 15:46:00
I just finished the main series of Baccano [First 13 eps], which made me wonder 'where were you all my life?'
Completely fell in love with Isaac and Miria. They may not be the smartest characters around [Though thats really part of their charm] but they have some really big hearts for thieves who don't hesitate to smack people in the head with baseball bats for some dough. I really grew attached to those two, and had many laugh out loud moments because of them, and felt genuinely concerned for them during moments of peril.
After I finish off the Baccano OVAs, I plan to watch Durarara - which apparently has guest appearances from Issac and Miria. Yay!
But It's already been confirmed that in the dub, those two will be getting different voice actors than their Baccano counterparts. Boo. I'm much more disappointed with that than I should be.
Either way, I'm really looking forward to watching DRRR now. Baccano was much better than I expected, and with DRRR having the same author and some favorite cameos, I'm sure Ill enjoy it just as much.

About Bleach
2010-08-06 16:48:00
Working on my track for the Bleach MEP, which consists of the first 6 eps of the show. And it makes me sad.
Bleach was such a neat show, the first few episodes really draw me into the series - especially the first one, which was very well drawn [Well, a good amount of it was]. These earlier eps like to use gradients in the characters themselves in certain scenes, which makes them look very stylistic and interesting.
And now Bleach seems to be in either a constant filler hell, or a neverending-arc hell with more 'QUALITY' art than 'quality' art, and overall, seems to have been killed by an attempt at a plot like many other Shonen shows.
Oh Bleach, I miss how you were when we first met...
