I don't know if it's lack of motivation or what! but, probably due to me not d/ling any videos but just previewing them all for 2011. I think I'm not gonna archive any this year. I was gonna look at the nominations and just d/l the 4 and 5 star ones but... the thing doesn't tell me that anymore!!
Besides no new AMVs have really shown me anything I'd not seen before. It's really been a 'blah' year. Some really great amvs, but really nothing I'd not seen before in the last decade. I'm sure it's been like that for the last few years.
I actually got this idea putting together my list of amvs. Before I erased my 2005 folder... which I still hadn't replaced. I probly won't till I unpack this PC in March. -

I have a problem, whenever I start watching an anime I can't stop unless it's really REALLY bad! I wanted to stop, I REALLY did... but I just couldn't! Noein (through it's OBVIOUS shoujo girleyness) highleghts the one thing I like about anime... one OF the things I mean. Most if not ALL Western media tends to have SOME bit of 'Christian' values put into it. Anime... doesn't really have this. It's like Buddhism/ Shintoism, whatever Japan is "based" on seems like the opposite of Christianity (Catholicism and all that) to me.
Sp Noein is just that, very very... Shinto-like and not faith based AT ALL... it's just interesting!! Everything else about it was just TERRIBLE (well... I guess the music was average... to above average really, but not good enough to keep me watching), the animation looked like it was done by a 3rd grader most of the time. And the plot had SO MANY holes you could make a childrens park out of it. An easy 2/5 you can like it if your intrigued by it like me... but you'll probably hate it. - oh woops... 2012-02-07 15:06:24 Temporarily locked out of my facebook account since I told it to only accept recognized computers... now to figure out how to get it to accept all my computers :(
