and I thought ISPs had the worst customer reception around here... well they still may be the worst overall but this f*cktard that I met today is the worst I've met (and yes I have talked with the annoying ISP so-called customer service lines).
so I went with my dad to a place where you can get a dumpster bin that they will deliver to your driveway so you can fill it with soil/rocks/etc and they'd come collect it later. This is because we're working on a project of basically renovating our lawn. Ok, so the moment we walk in the guy at the counter is talking with the customer in front of us, and they're talking all friendly, but then when that customer is done and leaves, he turns to us and starts talking to us in a different tone of voice - the condescending type. I was thinking "WTF, we haven't even said a word yet and you're already being an ass". Well, since my dad was the one who had called in to this place beforehand I figured I'd just be a spectator and let them talk. So they start talking, and I just listen, but it isn't long until a conflict erupts. Apparently, the guy who my dad talked to on the phone told us wrong information or this guy in front of us just wanted to screw around. So my dad says that the guy on the phone said some different information, but the guy at the counter says that he's been working here for ages and the information has never been different. He goes as far as to even defend the guy who talked on the phone by saying that WE don't understand - he started to define the difference between "dumping" and "recycling" - yeah as if we didn't know that, thanks f*cker. At this point I still haven't said anything yet though, but as time passed I got more and more pissed off at this guy. Then another guy behind us asks a quick question, and the guy at the counter *gasp* changed his tone of voice when addressing the guy behind us! So the guy at the counter has double-standards - is it because we're asian that he thinks we don't know anything? Racist motherf*cker. So the conversation between him and my dad continues, and they're almost in agreement, but since I don't know anything about these dumpsters, I asked a question about their water drainage. Guess what? He turns and looks at me and says "if you don't know the answer to that question, you should have hired a contractor instead, that's a stupid question to be asking." So the first time I talk, I get lashed at? WTF is wrong with this guy. I mean, its not an obvious answer when different dumping companies have been telling us different things! And then he goes into technical details about the drainage system and how 'everyone' should know it AND I am not the one in charge of this project I merely asked a question! I SO wanted to lash back at this guy since he mentioned things that wouldn't work but never corrected himself, but that would only mean we'd lose this chance to get a dumpster, as the nearest other company was an hour's drive away and we didn't have the time to go there. So I just bore with it... wasn't exactly the easiest thing, especially since I am really against racism... Then it was almost over, and he starts to try to to convince us that our address is in another city!! He didn't seem to believe us at all. I really really wanted to say "you've been working here for ages and you don't even know THAT?" There had been some major construction around our area so someone like him who claims to have been there a long time would have known about it, especially the surrounding dumping companies. Then he asks us how to spell the address!!! Again I resisted the urge to knock him off his high horse since it appears he can't even spell! And then that was it, and I will never go there again, that racist guy really doesn't know how to treat people equally. If you're reading this you might think I'm over-reacting, and perhaps I am, but that's just who I am, I don't take any racism towards anyone lightly. Even right now I am still really pissed off - oh, and the airport I work at is going to be doing some new construction, guess what dumping company I am NOT going to recommend?
And that's my shitty encounter with a racist s-o-b. Totally ruined the rest of the day for me. That's probably it for this journal, feels a bit better now that I vented through this =/ -

so exams ended fairly decently for me, and the co-op term starts again =O
so far work has been slow, well I've only been there for 4 days, so it should pick up the pace soon.
mmm..... not much else to talk about.... starting a new video project (finally =O), in the process of ripping footage, this is going to take a long time with all the series' that I want to use =/
watched Tsubasa Chronicles recently, not a bad anime, but it didn't really finish itself. Currently following the manga, which got me so confused at points.
I have no idea for what else to write here, better stop before i start writing too much garbage -

Today has got to be one of the worst days of my university life...
First, I was in class/labs from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm - with no break in between. Apparently the profs want to hit us hard right after the Canada Day weekend. As you can probably see, this really sucks.
To make things worse, one of the labs I was in today was extremely hard and long. No one was able to finish the lab within the time given and we all were kicked out in the end. There was just too much circuit wiring for anyone to be able to complete that on time, and they only had like 2 TAs!! With 2 TAs there is no way you can help 7 groups of students that have tons of wiring to do ><.
Then one of my friends said he was gonna drop out of our group and join another group for a mechanical project. (we have groups of 3, and I was initially with him and another guy - the really really annoying guy in my class) The reason I wanted to team up in the first place was because the guy was smart, and I would be able to live with the really really annoying guy as long as I could work with the smart guy to get everything done. Now I'm stuck with the annoying guy... AND another person that I wanted to work with just found a group before the smart guy left our group. Talk about the worst timing ever. I have a very big urge to go solo on this project - I'd be able to do it, it just won't be as fun as working with people that actually can help you.
I need a miracle to not stay upset this term...

but now that that's over i can finally edit/relax/have fun again =DD. Going to sushi tomorrow with friends =)))
