Over the weekend, Mike, Andrew and I went to NYC with some JCA officers to go hang out for the former Treasurer's b-day. We went to Chinatown, and I unexpectedly blew money away like crazy. Even more insane is that I'm going back again this weekend to go to the Museum of Natural History AND Chinatown, because a nagging voice in the back of my head is telling me "go be broke, it's fun!"
Anyway, while there, we ran into a Chinese New Year's parade, which was neat to watch and hear. We also went to the MET, where I wish we could have explored more, but it was late, and we wanted to get the hell out of the city that night, as it was freezing.
On a random note, there was a Rutgers vs. Georgetown basketball game yesterday that we went to, and our team actually won (for once). We have a notoriously horrible football team here at Rutgers, probably the worst in the country, but b-ball's OK, and it's always fun to go watch a game. Makes me actually feel school spirited.
On the video front, I'm in the middle of 2 projects at once, and in a rut. I'm more interested in web designs at the moment, and am also working on 2 projects... I'll make 'em public very soon. :)
Oh yeah, Katsucon this weekend! I'm sad I'll end up not going, but at least mine and Mike's Kenshin video, "Redemption," will be played in the contest. Look forward to it! It's short and sweet, and if you notice the GLARING error in the video, you win the No-Prize.

To be a fan girl again! I haven't known what it's felt like for so like. I felt like I haven't *really* gotten excited about things regarding my all-time favorite anime in quite awhile. But I did today!
I haven't done this in so long: woke up early on a Tuesday release day to go to the mall before classes to buy a DBZ item. Today, I got up to get movie 7 on DVD, and wow... I've been waiting for this movie to come out since I was 16. Now I'm 22. That's a hella long time to wait for a domestic release of something. :P
Being the dork I am, I immediately went home, ripped the movie, and make 65 screencaps of my fave character for my site (www.dbcollection.com/trunks). It's nice to have an otaku feeling come back again. :) Maybe I'll even WATCH the movie!
On a random Mike (vegettoEX) is *not* my Internet boyfriend, and never has been. :P We met at college, we go to the same college, we see each other every day. No kinky cybering for us, nosiree bob. A few days ago, we got like 4 IMs from AMV people asking "do you know Meri IN REAL LIFE!?" *slaps self*.
Just thought I'd get that out of the way. Carry on.

God, I hate people.
And now that that's outta the way!... the spring semester finally starts tomorrow, after a month-long winter break. Ah, I shall miss it. These are the classes I am signed up for: Programming II (ugh.), ECommerce, Human-Computer Interaction, Patterns of Death in Civilization (a history class, rounding out the completion of my History minor), and Logic Reasoning & Persuasion (a b.s. philosophy that I'm told is cake). I'm very much looking forward to school again, but Programming and ECommerce are gonna be hard as hell. And I gotta get my ass in gear and apply to grad school, as this is my last semester as an undergrad. Gawd, 4 years flew by, I cry now!
Oh yeah, and our anime club, RUJCA, will be starting up again at school. didja know I'm the Secretary? Darn tootin'! Check out the site (man, I gotta get around to redesigning it for the new semester): www.rujca.com.

Speaking of videos, I am smack-dab 50% done with another music video, but it's a re-master of a fun video from 2001. I'll let you guess which one it is. Hopefully, it will look a hella lot nicer in terms of scene choice, timing, and video quality (ripping this time, instead of capturing).
On a random note, for my birthday last week, one of my presents was more RAM for my cmopy. Oh baby, does this thing fly now. *drool*
