  • Having DDR music in my head scares me 2002-05-10 13:22:55 Well, my preview showing of my new music video at my college's anime club(which I won't post online, or say anything about 'till after Otakon) went just as I expected. People stayed nice and quiet, and then when it was over, they ask "uhh...what anime was that?" I find the fact that they didn't know what it was hella hilarious since...*it was the anime we showed all friggin' year long at anime club*!!! *sigh* All well. I'll really proud of this thing, and I'm glad I finally finished it, whew! Guess I'll have to do a silly little project between now and when and if it actually gets into Otakon. ^^;;; Here's a hint to this video: think about my hyperness of my Utena video, only more psycho, more angry, and more violent. Damn, why am I making all these angsty drama videos lately? I'm in dire need of some comedyness right about now. :P

    School's more or less over, huzzah am I! I got a lame "project" due on monday for my Paris-Tokyo comparitive history class. The assignment is: do anything you want, as long as we connect it to issues from the class, and it has to be about Japan *and* France. I know nothing about France. I dunno what to do. Maybe write a lame short story is an idea. My friend Omar is gonna write a paper on "Akira," that bastard. :P Speaking of that, we watched the end of that movie (which I hate with a passion, btw) during our last session of the class. Way to go out with a bang.

    And speaking of anime in my classes this semester, I did my final project for my CyberLit class all about Lain! I created a website that compares Lain to issues discussed in the literature class. If anyone wants to check it out, it's here:

    I'm gonna go splurging at the mall today. I'm supposed to be buying gift's for my sis' birthday and Mother's Day, but I'm sure I'll be walking out with a DVD or something. Hmmm, I'm in the mood for some GTO, baby.

    Gah, the first DVD of Marmalade Boy's been delayed!? Sadness I become. ;_; 
  • It's ALIVVVEE! 2002-05-07 19:22:35 I literary just finished endoing my newest music video, which will be my Otakon and Shoujocon submission! I'm gonna go head off and show it to a test audience now (aka: the gamers from Rutgers anime club). Hope it's well-received! I'll talk more about it laters, cuz I gotta book. Film at 11! *does psycho dance of joy* It's finally DONEE!!!!!!!!  
  • GAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR! 2002-04-25 19:16:06 So, found at the person who downloaded my "Traces of Insanity" music video to a computer in the school lab was actually my friend Amy. :P Mystery solved! D'oh, and here I had hoped more random people were downloading it.

    I learned from Scott that my Utena video never made it to PortMaine Con, cuz it got lost in the mail, with a shitload of other submissions (dang Anneke, now I know what you keep going through). I actually don't mind that it didn't get there, though. I don't like the feeling of sending videos to cons I don't attend, so it's no biggie. I'm content just sending to the 3-4 cons I go to in person. 'sides, with Scott as one of the people running the contest, it woulda been too awkward for him to judge my work. "Conspiracy, conspiracy," the people would yell! OK, so they probably wouldn't, but I can pretend, and make a big deal of it.

    A few days ago, I wanted to write a big rant and post it here, but the site went down. Maybe I'll do that in a few days. Or when finals or over. Whichever would be least likely to make my head explode. :P 
  • Me get heart attack right now! O_o 2002-04-25 13:17:22 Weirdest friggin' thing just happened to me just now. I'm in my Retrieving and Evaluating Info. class, and on Thursdays, the class meets in a computer lab. So, I picked a computer at random, and I sit down, and I see a Windows Media MPEG file downloaded to the desktop. And it's my "Traces of Insanity" music video.

    O_o holy crap.

    Whoa. This is really creeping me out, but is cool at the same time! To think that people in my college are downloading my music videos...heh. The other day, a guy in one of my classes said to me, "Hey, I saw your music video. It was very cool," to which I replied, "Heh, which one?" Very neat indeed.   • Linkin park sux donkey balls! *rolls eyes* 2002-04-05 08:16:04 Whoa, holy crap, whatta awesome Friday I'm having so far, and I only woke up an hour ago. First, my EVA DVD box set arrived yesteday! It was shipped one day before. I only had standard air shipping. How it got from it's source to me in one day is totally beyond me. That, and the fact that it's not officially due to come out 'till Tuesday. That's messed up...but I have EVA on DVD now, wheee! I wanna watch it today, but tonight is JCA (anime club, basically), and I hate watching too much anime in one day. Hurts my widdle brain. And stuff.

    Also, I just got an e-mail from one of my bosses. He wants to pay me and Mike to do.....Adobe Premiere work. Video editing. $15 per hour, $20 weekends and over-time. HELLS FRICKIN' YEAH!!!! *drool* I've never wanted to do work so badly in my life now. :) I am so psyched. I always wanted to do a job like this, but to be *paid* for it by my school (especially with the 5% budget cut, placing my job in jeoparody as it is..), this is cool as hell. I doubt Mike read the mail yet, as he has class now, but...oh dear god. I need this. Especially after buying that box set. And $200 of tickets to this month's Surf and Skate music fest. And pre-ordering the KOR DVD box set. And..other...stuff. Yeah, I need money to pay for things. Ahh, the woes of me.

    I was gonna go off on a rant of "things that piss me off", but now I'm too much in a good mood to be thinking such negative things. ^_^ Guess I'll save it for another time. You cannot wait to read!
