  • moving out likely 2005-02-05 14:06:23 well... it seems i may be moving out to DeKalb (half an hour away) to get into an apartment with gf

    she's literally has nowhere to go besides the hotel she's paying to stay in, (i'm sure we can all relate to family problems) so i found her an affordable studio and since i was also looking for a place, we decided it'd be a good idea to move in together, she went buck-wild crazy when i said yes and for a while thought it was a joke but we're both serious about it and now i just have to not be a financial idiot (i'm usually not) and learn to budget

    .... now just gotta tell my parents and see what their reaction will be, i don't expect anything pleasant, but i'm sure they'll be supportive in the end and i'm sure i'll need their help along the way, coming over for dinner or free lunch wouldn't be a bad idea ^_<

    apparently i'm leaving this computer (which i've grown very comfortable with) here at home for my sister's use primarily and we'll be using courtney's computer... hopefully it's in good shape (and has enough free disk space... <_< .... >_> ... ^_^ )

    if all goes well and we move out there, i'll try to get a transfer for my job (i'm sure there's a jewel-osco somewhere in dekalb) so i can keep my record of 3 years going strong and not lose that experience which apparently has given me great credability... still gonna get a 2nd job though
     
  • anniversary of my birth ^_^ 2005-02-02 01:22:33 so yeah, yesterday (feb 1st) was my birthday

    january 30th (my friend norbert's birthday)
    some friends and i decide to celebrate 2 birthdays at the same time to be more... economical... so 4 of us go eat at Denny's, we play some cards, get told by the manager to stop then go see a movie, Precinct 13 (twas kule)
    the irony is that the 2 of us that were celebrating our birthdays ended up having to pay for the other two guys... so our gift was to take THEM out for the night, lol

    january 31th (last day of being 19)
    i decided to do something stupid so i raced myself down a semi-dark secluded foresty street, towards the end there was a downhill curve and i spun out ^_^ (did a 180 because i'm not a COMPLETE idiot, i DID apply the brakes instead of trying to ride it like a drift) then went home completely paranoid of cops ^_^;

    feb 1st (20th birthday)
    since i'd already celebrated, i just worked 12-5, then went to skule 6.3-9pm then got 2 friends and got something to drink and chilled at a 24 hr Meijer til midnight, then went home, funny thing was i got a call from my girlfriend who apparently believes TOMORROW is my birthday and wants to make plans, and since i couldn't see her today, i don't wanna break her heart, so we'll do whatever we do tomorrow and at the end of the day i'll let her know it was the previous day but that i of course appreciate the quality time ^_<
     
  • New Video 2005-01-27 23:04:49 well i got off my lazy arse and uploaded an old video (that i didn't even have an entry for)
    it's a trailer type video, basically a customed edited video game intro with DBZ footage

    it's called Final Bout Fu cause it uses a lot of final bout footage and because of the use of kung fu sound effects

    i didn't do anything great with the credits (that being the reason i postponed release) but at least it's released to the general public now

    some people saw this a long time ago already so i've got a rough idea of how good it is, but of course releasing it to AMV.org would be a bigger step than IMing it to individual people

    i also have an instrumental version of the video because that's how i made it
    Step 1- make music video
    Step 2- add sound effects

    so if anyone is interested, just contact me and i can send it since i plan on keeping it

    turns out it's from the intro... just had to correct myself >_^

    i dunno wat the song is about, sounds german to me and even if it's not, i don't know the language so that's why i don't know... though i could probably find the lyrics, but NEway, the video is awesome, stupendous use of special effects and i absolutely felt myself get weak with the way the battles were arranged around to change the sequence of events and even threw in scenes that didn't belong and made them seamless

    -the scene where sasuke kicks haku and instead of falling down, haku just stumbles and then goes into his ice mirror technique without missing a beat.... beautiful

    -the scene where it shows naruto standing in front of the broken mirrors and then it shows a side shot of him getting up, that was from his fight with zabuza where he was wet (...probably) and i felt life return to me with how this video was put together

    i'm easy to please ^_^
