found out recently that the arcade i haven't gone to in... years... recently obtained an Initial D arcade-game, it's pretty bad-ass =)
you can choose racers/cars from all 4 stages and go through like 3 modes, the driving of course changes depending on the car and it's beautiful and handles well (steering is a bit loose but i think it's intentional and you get accustomed to it)
it's a great damn good game.... only down side is that it costs a dollar per race... doesn't matter if you win or lose, you wanna keep playing, you gotta put in another dollar =/ -
knowing when an AMV is good or not...

sometimes it gets kinda hard for me to tell whether an AMV is good or not!
but it's only for when i have to decide to trash it or let it eat up my disk space which is always a problem no matter how much space i start off with... it's called being addicted... and the scary thing is... when it happens... i like it ^_^
but the good news is that i'm not biased when it comes to the material used, i've got some videos kept with songs i wouldn't be caught dead listening to (figure of speech) and as for the anime used (if anime at all) i actually tend to keep videos around if it's an anime i don't often see good videos or videos at all too (i.e. One Piece/Digimon/Saikano)
the problem lies in the video itself, a lot of times i'll come to a video that at first i'm like 'dat was kule, i'll keep it for a while' and then upon further analysis i find that the video could have been done waaaay better
but the musik was high quality and really kule
the footage was high quality and sweeet scenes with awesome animation
and the timing was pretty good
....but there was minimal attention put to the lyrics and a lot of the scenes were eye candy and nothing more
so i guess when i'm rating a video or deciding to keep it or not, i have to think
'wat's the song saying?'
'wat are the scenes saying?'
'would i have prefered to see a DIFFERENT scene here or there or would i have EDITED it differently?'
...then i'll decide whether it's deemed worth of eating my disk space... based upon my own personal preferences i guess, no rules set in stone for anyone else but myself to follow, and dat's how i like it

weird dream

now this is definately something that i have no idea what the hell it means (assuming it means anything)
i had a weird dream that i was at skule, it was my high skule, but different, it was much bigger and more college like, but also futuristic in it's appearance, the scale was twice as tall and the building's physical makeup was a lot more metallic and spread out (roomier i guess)
i was just walking through one of the openings (around the area of the auditorium) when suddenly a sorta volcano sprouted up in the parking lot
it was so weird, they didn't close the skule down or block the area off or anything, they had special teams there just trying to find out what hell was going on and to make sure no one got hurt but no security to keep people out
in fact, i'm not sure, but i think the skule started scheduling class trips to the top of the volcano for ppl to see it, a couple friends and i decided to go check it out, so we walked our way up to the volcano and got to the top, it wasn't that tall, maybe 6 or 7 stories, the ppl there told us to be careful but we made our way to the center of it anyway where they was molten lava flowing around in little pools but that had harden ground around them so we could walk close to them
i know it was me, my friend jason, and one other friend that i don't remember, but the 3rd friend got close and started slipping into one of the little lava pools, but he was fine, i even kinda looked down on him for not having the balance to stay standing, i thought 'man, be more careful, this isn't a game, be ninjaish (ninjaish... real mature)'
but right then, i lost my own balance and started sliding uncontrollably towards one of the lava pools but my friend jason caught me sorta in a cradle motion but my weight was too much and my body fell in the lava and i basically broke apart and died.... very strange, and to add to that, jason's arms were fine, how dare he not lose an appendage! j/k
well obviously the moment i fell into the lava was the end of the dream, i guess the part about dieing while a friend tried in vain to help me would be the part that would be analyzable, the volcano probably was just my fuked up imagination, lol. and the skule setting i would think would be there just because that was a gathering place for my friends and i since duh we went to skule together, that's a place where i would see them
coincidently, i just got done watching the 1st volume of Lain (not before the dream, i mean right before i wrote this entry) very kule show, very tripped out, very addictive and something i can definately sit through and watch in it's entirity if i had the time... and complete volumes -_-

first of all... one of these days, i'm gonna have to actually write sumtin relating to AMVs in my journal again...
NEway, my car's messed up and i think it's the transmission, the towing guy just left to take it to the transmission specialist and we'll see what happens from there -_-
i've already taken out sum money in preparation for the worst case but i hope it turns out to be sumtin small, i'd like to not have to worry about my car so much, i depend on it so i don't have to depend on others
i was wondering though how much i could sell it for once it's fixed, then use the money to get a cheaper car... although my lumina is pretty reliable except for it's recent setbak, it's always been good to me so maybe i'll hold on to it
...still no DVD-Rom for my comp, but on the plus side, i bought the 1st volume of Lain ^_^ -
halloween is pretty nice ^_^

let's see... halloween weekend....
FRIDAY - tricked brother into borrowing his camero (only had to fill his gas tank... i wonder who's the bigger fool) found out i wasn't gonna get a job i applied for, worked til 10 pm, went out with gf to eat at Denny's and remembered how Steak & Shake the nite before had great food for good price and the server was all looking at our party all weird cause we asked for cherries in a cup... which he had trouble figuring out how to do.... <_< >_> and the server at Denny's was all non-attentive so much that another server noticed it and totally served us even though it wasn't his table, so he got a good tip ^_<
SATURDAY (hallo-eve) - went to the city (chicago) by train with gf, got bak and went to work late and got out early, drove around for haunted sites in the rain til we had to pick up an irresponsible alcohol-poisoned friend and deal with him
SUNDAY (halloween) - called off of work completely the dirty jews have been fucking with my hours so it serves them well
(btw, i honestly don't mean anything offensive with the 'jew' comment, it's nothign religious, it's just a saying i picked up and i hold nothing against anyone because of what they're a part of)
went to church with gf, ate sandwiches that are better where gf works (Potbelly's ROCKS!), went to a mall about an hour away, then ate, then walked around naperville downtown at nite and chilled, returned some movies and lastly got online and saw free candy on the kitchen counter ^_^
scarey weekend, the kind that brings chills down my back when i think about wow... i can't believe i didn't die or get eaten or sumtin 0_0
didn't do anything halloweenish, but the weekend was very productive and i had a good time, no regrets
