- My first award @ AWA 2003-09-30 17:46:56 I honestly can't believe I won best drama at Expo. I would actually like to go to AWA and see my vid there rather than win an award. At least some people enjoyed it.. Perhaps this is an indication of my growth as an AMV creator. If so, I guess I'm doing pretty well by expressing my creativity. In a few years I might reflect on this and laugh, thinking about how meaningless my first award was. I'm not even sure why I'm typing this up right now.. I have so many things I ought to do. Anyways, I guess the "winning concept" is very ego-boosting and whatnot.. I try to deny this self-gratifying sense of feeling, but I can't help feeling good, knowing that I've accomplished something good in a long while. Not the fact that I won against other videos, but because I actually did something with my lazy-ass self.. I'm a huge underachiever, but this event might inspire me to do better at things such as schoolwork. For now, I'll remember this as a personal stepping-stone, by becoming able to better express myself through music videos.. Thanks to those who support me, including my family, friends, and BSP.. I really wouldn't be able to do the things I do now if it wasn't for them.

Wow this has been a good week.. Due to Hurricane Isabel I didn't have to go to school since last thursday, and today will probably be the end of my temporary vacation. I experienced multiple brownouts during the storm, but I don't think the power ever ran out completely.. Apparently the other side of my neighborhood lost all of their power for a few days. = Due to these power outages, I was forced to restart my computer every half hour or so.. Can't be very good for my comp, but I got one of my videos encoded. =)

I got my learner's permit, I've quit online games, and I've commited myself to making/finishing vids instead of just dropping incomplete projects. I entered Haunted into AWA Expo and I hope that people enjoy it. My portion of the FFVI Character Project is done.. just some stuff to be tweaked before the deadline. I've lightened down on helping people on the forums.. I use to do it as a form of retribution for the people who have helped me when I first started making videos. Right now I'm sitting here, waiting for Hurricane Isabel to come over and wreck my house.

It's 2:15, I'm bored outta my mind...
I hit the chatroom a few hours ago.. things are random as usual.. But now I was in the middle of an interesting convo. The topic for tonight was rap vs. punk vs. pop.. Personally, I have a liking for all sorts of music, and I think that it's a universal language in a way. But some people stereotype each other as if one has dominance over a specific group. I'm just gonna drop it for now, seeing how the whole ordeal is so stupid. ;p
My vidz seem to be going fairly well.. I have a major problem though; I don't really like my vidz. Sometimes I have thoughts such as,"This scene really has bad footage", or "This set of effects looks like crap". My goal in AMV-making is to.. hmm.. have fun in makin them? Hahaha.. I just noticed that I try to make people happy, so they don't feel as bad as me. So I guess I make AMVs so that people enjoy em.. and have fun at the same time.. Anyways, I'm sorta afraid that ppl might not like my AMVs.. I just want them to have a good time, is all.
Six days left 'til Otakon AMV submissions are due.. I'm gonna have to work overtime to send in one of these vidz. Not really sure if mine will make it to the main showings.. I'll still be sure to watch it at the overflows. ;O Not like any of that matters..

On May 6th, 2003, I turn 16. =D Sadly, all I got was a pair of jeans as an early present.. and they're not really the best pants I've ever worn.. I am thankful for them however. =
I had plans to release my latest vid on my birthday, but it seems like it's gonna be delayed. I'm really proud of what I've done, and I put so much more effort into it than my earlier vidz.. The majority of the ppl who've seen it think it's alright, so I'll have high hopes for its debut. =O
I oughta get my permit to drive soon.. But that can wait 'til summer vacation. I really need to find a part-time job too. I really need to lose some fat and gain some muscle..
My life is full of so much stress. -(-
Did I mention I've gone punk now? Not exactly punk, but now my personality is a mixture of different music and influences.. including hip-hop, r&b, kpop/jpop, classical, drum & bass, etc..
Yes, I'm a weird kid. And I make AMVs. So that makes me weird^2. =E
