JOURNAL: Kaysow

  • This is redundant 2006-06-04 16:00:41 I've been informed my efforts are futile; this has already been done in DVD-quality.

Of course, I'm still gonna finish it up; Now I have Disc 3 back, which means all the material. Still can't locate the scene I need, tho.

Still just two scenes to go, so I'll be probably have it up in a few days.
  • Kaysow>Punkrocker 2006-06-01 14:15:43 Damn, still no disc 3. Though it's pretty much certain now I'll get it friday.

Had my username changed. Cool of the staff, I wasn't expecting it to work.
  • Almost there 2006-05-28 09:45:18 All that's left is one single sequence of lipsyncing. It's not that hard, just timeconsuming. But I'm sick of it right now, so some other day.

Also, I need disc 3 of my Platinum box for some additional footage. I'd prefer the synchronized battle in episode 9 to be without the timer in the lower right, and as I recall, there's a recap of on disc 3 that should have the footage I need.

This means I'm nearly done. Hanging in there.
  • Nuws 2006-05-20 14:11:32 Just finished up part two of it, so now I'm done up until the interlude (where the End of Eva clips start). See, when I don't have to lipsync, everything's a breaze. I've kept photoshoping everything that needs to be reworked, and so far everything is looking quite great. Thing is just that maybe part of the old charm was the imperfection of it? I dunno, it's just a fun thing to do seeing as A-I have premiere, and B-I own all of Eva.

For future reference; I'm not working near non-stop on this. Lots of other duties call, so it's just a few hours every other day.

Trivia: # of photoshopped frames so far:169
  • Coming along nicely 2006-05-15 12:33:38 It's going well enough, only the project is getting more and more ambitious all the time. Almost two minutes down now, and I'm really happy with the results. We'll see when the final version is rendered.

Hit a snag, tho, as the scene on the cruiser is way complicated to rework, and I don't know or own AfterEffects. The background is constantly moving, and that proves to be a problem for someone intent on perfect lipsyncing. And including the the new mouths I have to do for an animation after that, I have 78 frames to Photoshop. Think Im'a use Flash or something to animate that sequence instead. It'll probably be a whole days work.
