JOURNAL: Kaysow

  • Hello 2006-05-13 21:26:17 Goddamn, was I ever bitter back when! Guess I still am, but I'll try and keep my journal a bit more cheery this time.

Back in bussiness? Might be. Discovering new ways to rip and edit, and it's getting fun again. I can also point out exactly why my old videos sucked, and how I am to improve my style.

Thing is, I got into anime-fandom again. First there was Onizuka, then came Azumanga, and now I've finally gotten my hands on Evangelion. So I realize that anime hasn't gone stale. Not entirely. I have no real ideas right now, as I don't wanna just crap out videos like I used to. Most of those suck, excluding maybe one or two. Also, I was thinking of re-registering with a clean slate, but it would be a shame to throw all this recent effort away. So here's "punkrocker" again, only without the punkrock. Not that there ever was much to begin with.

So anyway, now I'm gathering extras to soothe my thirst for more Evangelion, and am doing a lossless (literally) DVD-quality version of my all-time favourite, Caldwell's "Engel". I reckon it's worth my effort, seeing as it got me into Rammstein, Asuka and AMV-making. Photoshopping quite a lot of mouths too, as I'm doing perfect copy of the original, with the exception of the lipsyncin, which I'm reworking to perfection beyond the original masterpiece. Guess I oughta do a bit more humour this time around. I think I was way too serious back when.

I am done with the first minute now, and I'll be sure to upload it later. I guess you could say it's a cheap shot for recognition, revamping an old classic.
Oh well, what's a guy to do? I wanted to do this, and I have more material to work with. Now I have that Tenchi OAV DVD-box, so I might do something to that too, as well as Azumanga.

  • 'lo 2004-08-28 14:00:21 i wouldn't say amv's are all that boring. but when i return here and download a few, and none of them are any good at all, i'm not very inspired to get back into this whole bussiness. i might continue remaking some of my best. 'head in a cloud' and 'voices' are done, and that makes for the two of my old amv's that i actually enjoy. there's just one more, and i can't imagine that i would make a brand new one before i've had a chance to remake the 'for a friend'-video in better quality. but i have other shit to do as well. maybe if i'm bored some day, i may find my way back here again.
  • i'm gonna make you do some freaky shit now >=) 2003-10-20 06:32:48 everyone i know just loves my disturbed video. i made it back when nu-metal was still growing, and that's usually the thing with the music i listen to =P the song "voices" has been done here on amv.org too much now, but everyone wants a high-rez version of it. sooo, i'm currently making on in the best quality available, seeing as the original clips are pretty crappy looking from start =) i'm not changing very much, just some more accurate timing. and i'm kinda taking cernovog and the others criticism in, and i'll avoid using shit that annoys people. but apart from that, i'll still reuse clips a fucking lot, because there' just not enough to make a video as fast as this one. stay tuned, i'll be done in a few days =)
  • w00t 2003-10-12 06:39:05 i got i up, at least. not many wants to download it, but at least those who've seen it have given me praise. that's always welcome, cuz the lack thereof makes me stay away from amv's for half a year at a time.
  • ha! 2003-10-09 09:23:33 who has time for this stuff nowadays?

i may have a video up soon. that would be cool.
