well, i've been doing shit now. i downloaded a bunch of videos, and found some div-x copies of my tenchi dvd's and flcl. so i have a bunch of stuff to use. it'll be done in premiere, cuz my last video was done in that program and it was SO fucking better than my older ones. i converted mononoke hime and stole some clips this morning. my computer is working kinda allright now, so everything goes fast. i'll do totoro too, and then i'll start. i'm also thinking up concepts, so it's gonna be sweet, summerish. my first feel-good video. it's gonna be fucking sweet. i hope. the song rocks too, and i'm trying to get a way to buy the CD from mae now, but it aint that easy. 'part from that, i found parts and bits of my old rm2k pung-game the other day, and i've been restoring it to it's original state. that is, to the state where i left it in limbo half a year ago. it has to be done in the following months, cuz otherwise my pung-partners won't get a copy before we graduate. shit, we have lots to do. i may be called in for military service too, if i'm unlucky. fucking fascistpigs. and schools tough, cuz there are so much things to do when catching up from one year of fucking it. that's the situation for me. i'm doing my best. see you later, and keep it real. cheers.

Today marks the start of Project: Embers and Envelopes.
I am here now to steal some material. I don't own that much anime, cuz frankly; I'm not that into it. What I have will be used, and so will your videos =). I plan to get some material from other folks videos now, but not so that it will be easier to edit or anything. Just raw material. Then I'll have to download Premier. It's gonna be swell, just you wait =D

the last entry was cuz my computer fucked up once again. thats a fourth, and it was hard to deal with. i think i have "for a friend" burned somewhere though, so it may haven been saved.
well, now my box has been away for a few weeks, but when it gets back i have some work to do. lots and lots actually, cuz i graduate this summer. holy shit.
'part from that, i've been thinking about making some new videos. just bought "end of evangelion" the other day on dvd, and it can most definately be used. i'm thinking the juliana theory. just haven't decided what song.
considering the flick, "this is the end of your life" would be fitting. it's my favourite TJT track, but i have already used it for my crappy, missing xenogears video, and i remember it wasn't very fun to work with. "breathing by wires" is a very terror song, so it could fit, but i'm not sure it would be very fitting.
but i've bought TJT's latest record; "Love" now too. already downloaded it half a year ago, but you gotta support the bands ya love.
there are potential amv's on that one. for "end of eva"; either "shell of a man", "in conversation" or the brand new improved version of the 2000 "emotion is dead" release "into the dark" could all fit to the flick. "shell of man" is a song that handles the themes of which the titles speak of, which fits shinji. "in conversation" is about being anti-social, which fits shinji. "into the dark" is about trouble between parents and child, which also fits shinji.
problem is just that "end of eva" is such a fucked up, mindtwisting experience i would probably prefer to use some song which would help to fuck up your mind even more. my last project, "for a friend", turned out really great, and that's probably because it's a beautiful and really goddamn hard song, which fitted "akira" perfectly. i want something like that for "end of eva" too, which means i'll probably end up using "to the tune of 5000 screaming children" from TJT's "emotion is dead". it doesn't fit that good, but at least it's hard.
another song that could be used from "love" is of course; "congratulations", which is a song in which the title is kinda misleading. it's not like "congratulations on your anniversary" or anything. more like "congratulations, fuckface. you're life is over". and best of all; it's hard. and by hard, i mean distortion and screams. emohard.
i turned 19 in february, and during that one month i got 9 new albums;
Dashboard Confessional - Unplugged on MTV2
Coheed and Cambria - Delirium Trigger
The Beautiful Mistake - Light A Match, For I Deserve To Burn
Thursday - Five Stories Falling EP
The Juliana Theory - Music From Another Room
The Juliana Theory - Love
KoRn - Untouchables
Yellowcard - The Underdog EP
Silverchair - Neon Ballroom
from these, i don't think any dashboard fits any amv i wanna make. coheed and cambria's "delirium trigger" has already been used here, which is kinda cool, but i couldn't download any of the ones in existance. i'd do one for "hearshot kid disaster" though.
i already did "for a friend" from the beautiful mistake, and that'll be enough for now. the thursday EP gave me only one new song; "jet black new year" which i totally progressive and emotional. it's one of the greatest songs ever, and will probably become an amv someday. the two TJT albums have already been speculated on. i won't do any korn videos. i like to do stuff that hasn't been done before, and although korn rocks ass, i'll let the noobs keep them. yellowcard is the first poppunk album i've bought in a while, and although it's a sweet EP, it probably won't spawn any amv's. silverchair rocks too, but they are also kinda too famous for my ambitions.
i am also expecting to have two hard-to-get demos soon;
funeral for a friend - from order to model
sky's the limit - the neverending sessions
funeral for a friend is a great hardcore emocore kinda band from whales, the land of lost prophets. check em at www.funeralforafriend.com. i mailed the drummer, ryan, and he's gonna help me get my hands on the records, since he has a girlfriend here in sweden who can mail 'em too me. that's rad, huh?
i mailed sky's the limit's record label, and the guy there is gonna send me whatever i want with free shipping. it seems kinda suspicious, but i'll take the chance, cuz they are one of the best bands that ever existed. i need their demo.
sky's the limit broke up a few years ago, and now the singer, gimenez, is in a new band called mae. try them at www.whatismae.com. one of the songs, called "embers and envelopes", will probably be an amv. it's really happy and stuff, and i think it would be a really cheerful and uplifting amv. i think it would be cool.
well, that's my mind for now. my amv career is not over, but you don't even know it's started. if i only had a host, i could put my videos up. i know i'm better at this than most people here. some appreciation would help keep my spirits up.
later,
matte
