Mondays… zombie Mondays... lol

What I’ve forgotten today (and it’s only 8:30 am): to put on some make up, take the sandwich that I made with me to work and take a CD with me to work. I’m not at my best on Monday mornings. Somehow I still manage to arrive to work in a zombie like state. But I didn’t forget to bring my key card with me. ^_^ You just got to be happy for the small things.
Anime Jedi:
Lol ^_^ I love Mulan too. It’s the second best Disney movie there is after the Lion King. The Mulan that we watched was dubbed in Finnish. It was awful all though these are the best dubs that you can find. I’ve just always watched everything in the original language. But this is an anime web site so it’s kind of a taboo to talk about Disney. >_<
But seriously people shouldn’t be ashamed of their past. I think that I wouldn’t be here without Disney, Elfquest, Pokemon, Final Fantasy VII and so on. I haven’t read Elfquest in about two years and I stopped watching Pokemon after Ash had lost the Pokemon Championship (I hope that I’m not spoiling). I haven’t watched Disney movies after I discovered anime.
I also haven’t watched television in about two or three months at all. The only DVD player that I have is in my computer so I watch my anime there. If somebody would have told me few years ago that I would stop watching television, I would have laughed in disbelief. There just isn’t any good sci-fi or anime on anymore.

I don’t have any hobbies this week. I have all of my afternoons free and Thursday’s a holiday. That’s a lot of free time. ^_^ So… I should practice for the music theory exam. I haven’t even started yet. I’ve just procrastinated. If I can’t tear myself away from the computer this week, I’ll have to ban myself from the org for a while (no journal writing, no downloading videos and no foruming). I’ll probably have to do the same thing with the few other forums that I’m a member at. Sometimes it sucks to have this kind of “all or nothing” attitude. -

*SIGH* Why does this always happen to me? It looked just fine when I copied the text from my OpenOffice to the journal and what do you know. All the ---> ' are now ---> ? I hope that you can make something out of it none the less because I'm too lazy to fix it. +_+

Took them long enough. *shakes fist* But I?m happy. =D I won?t give you the link yet. I want to do some updating before that. I might even get myself *gasp* an avatar. At least there?s some hope of that now. Xp
Now a rerun of my weekend... The concert on Friday went good. We had a blast and I managed to sing in front of an audience without the help of a rock.^_~ It was a pit off the key at times, but I did my best. I really enjoy singing. I?m just lacking the confidence and these sort of things help with that.
Also the Germans left on Saturday and I can have my room AND my computer back to myself. I didn?t really get to knew the two girls all that well because I only saw them for few hours before bed time. Oh and they should have a medal of bravery because they ate this traditional Finnish Easter dessert called mämmi. They even liked it. O_o One of the girls commented that it looked like dirt. I would say that that?s the polite way of putting it. It literally looks like shit. It?s dark brown and sticky but it tastes good with some sugar and crème. They also tried our sauna and liked it. ^_^
I had to speak English for almost a week and this made me realize that my pronunciation really sucks! I want to be more fluent and not have so crabby pronunciation. =( My written English is improving all the time. Writing here is good practice for me, but how can I practice my pronunciation? =(
Today I got back from my friend?s summer cottage. It?s a really nice house by a (still frozen) lake. They even have a Jacuzzi which I of course tried out. Ahh... it felt good. We made some tasty pizza and played games like billiards and Trivial Pursuit. I invented a definition for Trivial Pursuit: it?s a Know how stupid your friends are game. Lol Or mainly Know how stupid Lupu can be game, but we still managed to win with luck lol
We also watched videos like Conan the Barbarian I and II and even one *gasp* Disney film Mulan. The Conan movies were entertaining and quite funny because they were so bad. Lol Have you noticed that all the stupid, innocent, virgins, ´to be sacrificed` girls are always blond? And the ´bad guys´ are always black haired women. O_o

I?m back to downloading videos. ^_^ I?m still doing SpPANDA. I?m starting form where I stopped last weekend. But before I get to that I?ll recommend one of Vlad?s videos. I like his fan service video The Look:

And now little something about SpPANDA. I?ve seen about one third of his videos and they are the oldest ones. I have to say that I really like what I?ve seen so far. His videos seem to have soul in them, if that?s not too cliché to say. They are very artistic IMO. The video always flows beautifully with the mood of the song. He also has his own distinctive style that I haven?t seen before. My respect for this person has rosed a lot because now I?ve seen his videos. I always try to keep in mind that `person = his/her videos´ isn?t the truth, but if the video is good you can see some part of the person in his/her video.

It?s 7 and half minutes long but manages to still keep you hooked to the very end. Of course I could be biased because I like Utena a lot all though I haven?t seen the movie yet. And I also like the song. *cough*biased*cough* I just love bagpipes. I can?t help it even if it?s really strange.
The video gives me this really strange feeling that the video is somehow mute or that I can?t hear it even when I?m listening to the music. It?s really puzzling. O_o Maybe it?s because there isn?t any lip syncing when the characters mouths are moving. Anyway it?s the second best Utena video that I?ve seen and I?ve seen many. Go and download and leave an opinion because it doesn?t have any and I?m too busy to give it one even if I liked to. Five stars!
That's it for today. Now I'll go surf the net to see if I still could have some change of getting into some College. I haven't got any clue what it would be but that's what the Internet's for. Infinite knowledge and fun times. lol -

Finally… I’m finally over the Nookie song by Limb Bizkit. It took me one week. I will now share with you the great song that bested Nookie:
Charon – Sorrow Song
It’s a hard rock ballad and it’s very depressing and melancholic. ^_^ I don’t care that listening to it makes me really sad because I’m finally over the Nookie song. I’ve been so happy and bursting with joy lately that it’s a nice change to be melancholic for a change.
The song has a nice peaceful melody with a piano and a male and female singer. I also think that there are some cellos in it, but I’m not sure. I’ve never heard of the band before. I think that they are Finnish but I can’t be sure of it. I’m definitely going to find out more about them and their music.

Is it just me or is the lyric “Inside my heart it rains” really awesome? I wish that you could hear this song because it’s so beautiful.
After I started in my new job over three months ago the only major thing that I’ve spent part of my money is concert tickets and albums. I’ve been to three concerts in this time and bought five albums. This is very extraordinary of me, but I guess that it’s where I want to spend my money. ^_^ I haven’t bought any clothes or anything like that. Just music and I also started to buy anime. I’m just waiting for my DVD to arrive from Bel-gium. Is it possible to be happy and melancholic at the same time?

I’m at work right now. I’ll go to orchestra rehearsals straight from here. We also have a concert today. When I get home I have to bake something for Friday. I have no time to spend at my computer. T_T This crabby thing that I’m using now can’t really make up for my comp. I haven’t realized how addicted I am to that thing. I don’t even miss my own bed or privacy as much.
And I’m also going to be busy until Sunday. There is another concert on Friday where I have to sing. *panic rising* On Saturday I’m going to my friend’s summer cottage with three of my friends. It’s going to be great to see them after almost four months. I’ve missed them.
