JOURNAL: hearmemeep

  • On hiatus... 2006-06-19 14:06:00 I have quite a few ideas for what to do with my next AMV, but I'm currently waiting for a better video editing program. Let's face it - Window's Movie Maker just isn't cutting it. I was quite proud at how my Elfen Lied AMV turned out, but everytime I re-watch it, I see so much more I could have done with it had I used an editor with more effects and features.

    I won't be re-making any of my AMVs once I get a new editor. I consider them pieces that remind me of how I evolve in this hobby (which hopefully I WILL improve ;) ). But right now it'll probably be another month or so before I'm able to get something new.

    Once I get something else, I plan to do something most likely with either His and Her Circumstances, Outlaw Star, or a few other Anime I have in mind. I have one in mind for a Final Fantasy X AMV as well, but unfortunately I don't have the equipment necessary for capturing Final Fantasy cutscenes onto my computer. Ah well... maybe someday.

    I'll most likely continue working with more Goo Goo Dolls songs for awhile. As much as I'd like to use an obscure song from a band that doesn't get much publicity in my area (such as Lo-Tel, the Donuts, or Reamonn), I think I'm going to stick with the Goos for awhile. I have a few ideas I'm moving around in my mind right now in regards to which song I should put with which Anime.

    Either way, hopefully I'll be back into the hobby soon. I'm eager to work with more footage and to have a program that will let me do what I want to do with it :)
