Whoohoo!

Anime Evolution starts tomorrow! Purplepolecat and I are on the discussion panel--that should be really interesting. I haven't had much of an opportunity to articulate about my editing, except to explain it to parents and co-workers in the simplest terms. It will be a challenge to talk about it more in-depth.
Then there's the contest on Saturday, for which we're both in the finals. I'm not really thinking about it---after all, "Skittles" has been entered and well, yeah. I'm just glad my entry isn't in that category! =:o Friends of ours are coming along for that, so it should be a great time.
And then there's the big tension maker---waiting for the credit list for AMV Hell 4...

Well.

So I don't usually do this sort of journal/blogging thingamajig, but I figured what the heck.
Found out yesterday that I'm a finalist in the Anime Evolution AMV contest! I'm completely stunned---I totally wasn't expecting to make it in. Now there's a whole *new* level of anxiety for the next week and a half. =P
I'm also doing the amv panel at AE, and that should be interesting. I've only been making amv's since last October, so I'm still really new at it and learning with every one I do. I'm hoping to bring some of that "noob" experience to the panel for other people who may just be starting out.
I also submitted 20 or so clips for AMV Hell 4, and we're all waiting with baited breath for that list to come out. In a lot of ways, it would be very cool to get in on that project---mostly because AMV Hell 3 was my and my husband's first exposure to amv's. So we'll have come full circle in a year if we get in.
Are there other husband/wife amv creators out there? We find it very funny when we're both geeking out side by side on the pewters, headphones on and "click, click, click". It's nice to have a person right there for instant critique and analysis. I owe a lot of my editing knowledge to Hubby (PurplePolecat)---he read all the guides and then showed me how to do buckets of things.
Guess I've rambled on enough for now---not sure if anybody will even see this, but like I said, what the heck. =)
