Every so often I will watch a movie, see a picture, hear a song, etc and just be blown away by it. No different for AMV's. I love watching really well done AMVs but at the same I hate it. For someone of my skill level (or complete lack of skills if you see it that way) you watch some AMVs and its like getting punched in the stomach. The video is not a piece of media for your viewing pleasure, but a sharp reminder of how far you have to go, how much you have to learn, or worse, a confirmation that maybe you'll never be good at all. I think I feel like that just about every time I'm halfway through a project. As I look to places for ideas,I see images and videos of far better execution than my own efforts. Certainly makes me wonder why I bother sometimes. In the end however, you cant get better if you don't make the effort.
Current vid progress at .....2:22. About a minute or so left to go until beta. Gonna have to use a lot 'o Photoshop for this mother. Be good to get back into that, haven't used it in awhile.
Why does Range Murata like drawing little girls in questionable poses? Love his work but you have to wonder.

Sucks being unemployed, or it least it's been a blow to my ego. I haven't pursued my actual goals since I've graduated from college, almost 4 years wasted and nothing to show for the 30K my folks shelled out for school.
Talked to a buddy of mine about everything and pretty much gave me the lowdown on what I should do. "Redo your resume and get your name out there". Should have done that as soon as I left school in stead of wasting time. You live you learn.
Current project progress is at around 01:47. Hopefully i can get this AMV done before Oct, just in time for the fall season. Im hoping some of the art I use isn't considered too tacky, but then again, perhaps tacky is good.
Radom thought for this entry: Miho Morikawa was pretty cute back in 1990. Good god, has it really been that many years since the 90's?

It is considered that a good AMV will make you watch the animes used in said AMV. Well, thanks to r0b07$ (and Netflix on my Xbox 360) I've finally got around to watching Pani Poni Dash!. I can't remember the last time I said "What the fuck?" in quick succession so many times. Funny stuff, hopefully it'll keep up over the long haul. One thing that's been bothering me is I could never figure out how to add AMVs to my favorites. Well, now I just figured it out and It's been confirmed that I'm the world's biggest dumbass.
*sigh*
Anyhow, 23 seconds into my current project. I didn't really listen to Kanye West before, but I must say, I like a few of the songs on "Graduation". Definitely a plus when doing AMVs and buying an album that is pretty good. Kinda sucks just buying a CD for one song and not really liking the rest the Album.
Same goes for series. Buy an entire season set for maybe a few seconds of footage but the shows sucks. Bummer says my wallet.
