So I managed to view an Evangelion 2.0 camrip the other day. No subs so couldn't understand a fucking thing but no matter, I just wanted to see it. Needless to say, even with the quality issues, its a gorgeous movie. I cannot wait to get my hands on a Dvd or even a Blu-Ray version. Certainly have to tip my hat to Anno and his boys for making the most of their digital animation toys. And of course it was nice to see Asuka in action again. *swoons*
AMV Beta progress: Not sure
Its coming together, but there are still holes in my time line and I only have vague ideas on what I want to do to fill those areas. However, more than 50% of the video I pretty much know what I want to do, which clips im gonna use and how I need to construct the effect in AE. I need to upgrade my mem though. Im still running on 2GB and I want 8. Hopefully this Christmas I get some cash so I can upgrade. Maybe I can even get a new processor.

Its Christmas time again, and I'm still unemployed. Gonna be a great holiday as I stretch what little money I have left to buy gifts and pay bills and buy whatever source footage I can't find on Netflix. This year hasn't gone too well. Aside from Anime Expo, the Lakers winning the championship and extended time with members of my family, this year really sucked. Hopefully in 2010, things will be different.
Current vid progress:...uh -93%.. Im getting closer to me self imposed deadline of New Year's Day. I'm still missing two sources of footage but they should be arriving in the mail this week. Chances are, I probably will make the deadline for AX10 but I want to give myself as much breathing room as possible.
Although if something crazy happens like the AMV contest being cancelled, i'll go around an punch helpless elderly people. Serious business ya'll.
Are they going to make new Christmas songs? Its the same 5 songs over and over. And I need more eggnog, damn this stuff is addicting.

My older sis went back to her "home" in Kuwait. She usually only stays for a ridiculously quick two weeks, but she was able to stay almost the entire month of Oct. Im glad she stayed longer than usual, it gave me time to decompress and reflect. I'll miss her more than I usually do, but hopefully i'll make more of an effort to keep in touch instead of being such a hermit.
Current vid status: Restarting.
While my sis was here I really didn't do any editing at all. I needed a break, editing has kinda dominated my thought process since early March but im feeling a little better now. I have almost all my sources gathered (Netflix FTW) and Hopefully by the second week in Nov I can proceed with the "rough-draft" version of this project. January is the cut off date to finish that part of the project.
Basketball season is back! And now there is a book about how the refs favor the lakers, yay! more haterade!

All is not well, as per usual. It seems I have finally hit a wall and the options I have left are few. I was hoping I could go back to school and try to get a degree, but I don't have money. I don't what to do anymore.
Current vid progress is snail pace slow. I had to re-encode everything because of an error in Premiere when I try to import avs files. Don't know why its happening, kinda frustrating that I have to start all over again. And its becoming a bit more apparent that my efforts at AMV my not get me anywhere and i'll have to refocus my efforts elsewhere. I hope I can continue but, Im not so sure.
