Done.
Finally after about a month and some weeks, my latest creation is done. I'll upload it for viewing displeasure around the middle of October. Give me time to cool off. During that time I will start the planning my next AMV which will be quite a doozy. My goal is to enter the mofo in AX10 next year and maybe make it as a finalist again. That gives me about....7 months? Pre-planning and story boarding should take three months. Actual production should be four. Lord have Mercy.
So "Spin on,Simon" won its biggest award which was the "Big Big Grand Prize" at the AWA expo. Never would have expected people to like it. I can't watch it at times because some of the effects are horrifically cheap looking. Even worse is that I worked hard on that vid and it could look a little better. BUT, seems like the kids like it so..you know...
Lakers training camp starts next week I think. Can.not.wait. Another 10 months of dropping F-bombs at the end of losses and cussing out Cavs fans. I love this game.

I watched "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" again the other day. A lot shorter than remember but just as funny. Odd seeing a Young James Earl Jones before he would be forever immortalized as Dearth Vader.
Trying to get back into drawing again. My previous job monopolized much of my time and unfortunately im sure my skills have slipped tremendously. Hoping I can fill up my portfolio and have some company take a chance on a hack like me. One day at a time, one drawing at a time.
Current vid progress is....almost done. One more week should be enough to iron out all the kinks and other present. Can't wait to be laughed at.

You know you're screwed when the only good thing going in your life is a project that you probably wont benefit from at all.
About a month ago I met up with an old friend of mine from college and we talked about the old days and whatnot. A sobering feeling came over me as I realized only a few of us ever really made it in our field . Most of our cast of characters are doing factory jobs, QA testing or just outright got married.
Even worse is as the days go by it seems like like things in my life are slipping through my fingers and for whatever reason, I refuse to do anything about it except watch. Funny how things go...
Current vid progress is...about...pick a number...+22%. I figured out how to do a few effects in AE and the fancy schmancy effect I wanted to get seems to be coming together. If I spend enough time on this mother, I may be able to finish it well before months end. Beats moping around all day.
