Should've... Could've been.. man all that good material and this video failed. Try add some Excel Saga, PPP, Digi Charat, Abenoshi Shopping Arcade, and Gintama and I guarantee you have a hit video!"

You, sir or madam, completely missed the point. See the "Character Profile" bit under "Categories"?

And maybe you weren't around in 2005, but this *was* a hit video.
I mean, I don't know about you, but if a video manages to amuse the hell out of its editor, garner over a million views on YouTube (before being removed), AND win best in its category at Otakon 2005, I don't consider that to have "failed".
  • Needed: Motivation. 2012-04-29 21:49:16 Finally scanned through this series to the halfway point (episode 26 of 52).

Will I manage to finish with enough time left over to actually edit the damn thing in time for Otakon?
  • @DriftRoot 2012-02-26 00:20:39 Your AVISynth script doesn't look like it's introducing interlacing to me; check the following settings in TMPGEnc (I assume you're using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5):

Video tab --> Encode mode: "3:2 pulldown upon playback" if your video is 23.976 progressive, or just "Non-interlace" if it's 29.97 progressive.

Advanced tab --> Video source type: "Non-interlace (progressive)".

Advanced tab --> Video arrange method: "Full screen".

Make sure none of the filters on the Advanced tab are active.

I can't really think of anything else that would do it.
  • Oh my god, you guys. 2012-02-07 19:03:33 [Kionon] Scintilla
    [Scintilla] Yes?
[Kionon] I showed Itoh Ikuko "A Raven's Pride." She liked it.
    [Scintilla] You did WHAT?
    [Scintilla] How was this accomplished??
[Kionon] I had dinner with her Sunday night.
[Kionon] She's a big fan of Austin and flew down for Ushicon. She and Sato Jun were the guests. We had a staff/guest dinner, and since I speak Japanese, we had a conversation about a bunch of different things, she drew me a sketch of Kraehe, and then I showed her your video.
[Scintilla] Oh, this was in the States then?
    [Scintilla] Makes sense
[Scintilla] Did she understand the lyrics?
[Kionon] Yes. Although I go back to Japan in June.
    [Kionon] I translated.
[Scintilla] I, um. Not quite sure how to react to this.
[Kionon] Anyhow, you now have bragging rights. Your Tutu video has been seen, and liked, by thhe show's creator. You're welcome.
    [Scintilla] But thank you.
[Kionon] It's my favorite Tutu video.
[Scintilla] As a matter of fact, I also ran it by the guy who wrote the song (prybom on YouTube) some years back, and he seemed to like it as well...
[Kionon] Sounds like you're two for two then, Scintilla.

How many AMVers can say that?
