Turns out I didn't actually check the "All of my videos have been entered into the catalog" box on my Edit Profile page and now my videos are all illegible to be nominated for the VCAS this year!!

I was wondering why they weren't listed yet.
I'm really depressed now because I've been thinking of the 2009 VCAS for a while. :'( Well, it was a very tough week that week (actually the whole month was) and I haven't been able to get on much for a while... Everything has been kind of a blur. At least I still have all the wonderful comments and memories those videos gave me. <3 -
AviSynth Woes

I picked up my AviSynth script for a particular source for the 1,000th time, determined to get it right today... but to no avail. No matter what I do, I CANNOT make this anime look like it wasn't compressed with the worst possible settings 9,999,999,999 times (or filtered with every filter ever in existence with maximum settings the same amount of times). T_T What makes the quality even worse is that the rest of my source footage for this AMV is 16:9 and this source happens to be 4:3. Cropping the edges off and then resizing it to match 16:9 obviously makes tolerable quality seem even more impossible.

And I've procrastinated picking up this AMV project since then because of it. I think it's finally time to post in the forums about it... massive dot crawl and noise, blur, funked up lines, rainbows, and all that fun stuff. It stands out with the rest of my source footage SO MUCH. All of the others are *gorgeous* even with no filters applied. This stress is making me really feel unmotivated to do this project (which at first was fun). :(
If anyone feels up to a challenge please feel free to send me a message and you'll get a .vob clip of this "lovely" source. :o And if you try or even succeed, you will be my best friend forever and ever! <3

On top of this hair-pulling stress, I found out today that I won't be able to go to AAC this year. T_T
As you can see, today was not a fun day for Meli. :(
On the bright side though, ranting in a journal is stress relieving. I now know why I see it so often in journals on this site. :P I'm pretty sure I'll be doing it more often. Oh, and it's October today. I love October. <3 Happy October to all of youuu. -

I've been wanting to make my first journal entry on this site for ages now, and this is definitely the perfect opportunity to finally make one. :o
WOW!
Well, I signed onto YouTube tonight like I do every night and I noticed a trend in all the comments I was getting. Everyone was talking about Caitlin Glass. Many people were saying my Ouran High School Never Ends video got acknowledged by her on the FUNimation website. I went to her blog, and to my amazement, it was TRUE!
She wrote:

I'm pretty sure most of you know who she is but for those of you that don't, she is the ADR Director for Ouran High School Host Club and will be the voice of Haruhi Fujioka in the English Dub. You may also know her as the voice of Winry Rockbell in Full Metal Alchemist.
