The Magical World of Yuri and the Dragons and the challenge....and CT results?

So Kate has recently gotten into the hobby of AMV making and for the last two weeks there has been a challenge to make a Kyo Kara Maoh video. Week one both Kate and I forfeit. I hadn't even tried since I was with the boyfriend that weekend trying to relax. I was hoping the following week we'd have a different series for the challenge (since I hadn't seen KKM for a long time and wasn't feeling passionate about it). I thought for sure since we all forfeit Attagirljr would be declared the winner and she would choose. No dice. KKM challenge part 2 commences.
Attagirljr spends her week making another video. I throw together a cute fluff of a thing in 3 hours. I am kinda proud of the cuteness factor of my video and how it does kinda cast the show in a different genre.
Kate forfeit again. Sheila won again. This time next weeks challenge is harry potter. This will be interesting since neither of us has made a live action vid before. We drew movies out of a bag...she got Prisoner of Azkaban (LUCKY!) and I got Chamber of Secrets.
I plan to work on my epic One Piece vid this week too.
Kiareans posted that the finalists for CTcon had been decided and the competition in the Fun/Upbeat/other category & Drama Category was very tough. I entered the Fun/Upbeat/other category so I am biting my nails. And the post says that some worthy videos ended up not making it but she would be emailing or posting the list once she got back from Otakon or the 26th by the latest(whichever is easier I suppose).
Since I got a tutorial form her in the past it makes me wonder if maybe that "worthy vids have been cut" was a head nod to me that while my vid was good it didn't get in. A gentle rejection.
I guess we will see sometime before the 26th. -

So I'm offically entered! OF course upon rewatching it I think my lip sync may have like a miniscule lag on some parts and I notice a weird waivering in certain parts of my cowboy bebop footage (WTH!?).
In any case...I like it way better then last years entry (even though that ended up winning). So hopefully I'll make the finals this year as well.
It isn't exclusively anime this year though so I might get blown out of the water with some other random series vid (like Heros maybe? LOrd of the Rings?).
I can only cross my fingers and hope.
Attagirljr had some difficulty submitting her stuff so it will be interesting to see what comes of her entries.

Today I basically entered/uploaded my Discovery Channel vid and will confirm it when I get home from work. Direct link will take you to mediafire.
I spotted only two vids using this song...one on Youtube used Shonen jump vids (and to my dismay our idea for egyptian kinga and tornados are the same) and a rather pretty one here on the org that used all different footage.
I feel like my vid still holds up and I have worked on it for more then a year and DANG IT I want people to see it and comment while I get to move on to other projects.
Also today I linked the discovery channel vid to the offical discovery channel vid on youtube as a response. I also linked my freecreditreport.com ones to their respective offical videos.
If this comes back to bite me I do not know but I want more then 4 people to see them and refuse to tag my videos lest they get yanked or audio swapped.
Ummm....let's see. OH! I just got in the Skip Beat Anime and I am super excited to work with that since it is my favorite manga.
