Well, it's about damn time.
After a nearly 3-month long hiatus, I'm getting inspired amv-wise again. I have an idea for a half-way decent Gundam Wing video, and I'd like to finish my Angel Sanctuary vid asap. 'Course, my GW DVDs are in my brother's possession right now, so I'll have to wait until June to steal them back. And my AS video requires the coloring of ... 10 more manga panels. Joy.
PS2 price is going to drop in May. Mmmm. I know where my paycheck's going. I'll finally get to play FFX, MGS2, ShadowHearts, Devil May Cry... I could go on and on. I also suspect, though, that shortly I'll be getting a Gamecube. The Star Wars game just looks soo pretty, and Super Smash Bros Melee rocks. :) Plus with Square *finally* making games for Nintendo and the lovely GBA/Gamecube linkage... Add to that rumors of Nintendo dropping the Gamecube's *already* reasonable price... I'm sold. :) Screw summer work clothes! I need to *game*! -

Hmm, been a while since I've been active here...
I've been working _big time_ on an original story; I'm excited about it, so it's been taking priority in my life.
Well, that and RPGs. ::grins::
Vagrant Story rocks my world. Finally beat it - yep, this is definitely my favorite PS game. Yasumi Matsuno *so* needs to make a sequel. Damn.

I'm also nearly done with Xenogears. It's great and all, but I feel kinda gypped. So in disc 1, you're forced to spend hours running aroud Kislev, fighting the stupid sewer monster, and then, when the plot gets *interesting* in disc 2, you don't get to play it! Argh.. Hopefully Xenosaga will be better paced.
Video ideas... hmm... well, I've got plenty, but nothing that's sufficiently grabbed me to work on it like a madwoman. Still, I'm being creative and shit with writing so I'm content.
I'll be at A-Kon, in case anyone wants to meet insane li'l me. :) I'll be cosplaying as Haruko - it fits me to a T. ;)
Thinking I'll also enter a video or two into their contest. If only my Basara DVDs would get here so I can redo the vid in that quality... well, my fansubs are surprisingly crisp enough, so I think it'll be ok.

First off, saw the Ushicon documentary yesterday. Damn funny, but if any of you ever record *me* on such a thing, I'll kill you. >:)
(Fortunately, I'm obscure enough that I don't think I need to worry about this.)
And I just received the most interesting email I've gotten in a while.
And email from my *father*.
Who says he's actually been trying to get hold of me!
Who gave me his phone number!
I wonder if he knows that he sent this email on my birthday.
I am blown away.
I'm too old for him to try to be a dad now, but that doesn't change the fact that despite his past idiocies, he's still my father and I want him in my life.
No matter how much I might tell myself otherwise, of course.
No matter how many lies he tells or promises he breaks.
And to get this on my birthday, of all things...
I hope this is a good thing.

Ugh. I feel like crap. Don't really know why; I just have this overwhelming urge to crawl into bed and stay there the whole day.
But sigh, I can't. My roommate and I desperately need to clean today. We're doing a double-bday celebration this weekend (mine and a friend's), so a bunch of people are coming over today. Hopefully I'll be awake by then. For now I'll keep chugging coffee.
On a happier note, I've been writing like a mad fiend lately. After several years of uncreativity, all of a sudden I'm flooded with story ideas. It's *extremely* invigorating. One of the things I just finished is an Final Fantasy 6 story, detailing a scene between Celes and Sabin in the World of Ruin. If you're interested, you can read it here:

Well, that was quite a pleasant surprise.
I sign on to this site, and waiting for me is a long, detailed review of my Basara vid by TekkaRepliroid Zero. Thank you so much, TRZ, for reviewing it! Now I need to find out what people who've never seen the series think.
And... ^________^ I have TV! ^_________^ My roommate's boyfriend was over for the weekend, and since he has a car, he took us to Best Buy where we bought a nice, simple 19" TV as well as a VCR. In fact, my roomie is playing Soul Reaver on said TV at this moment. We bought that game with the TV, and it's damn cool. The reason I bought it is rather sad though. It's because Raziel, according to my roommate, has the tightest ass of almost any video game character. When she said that, I was sold. *sigh* I'm so easy to read...
But V-Day, or rather the day after, was actually good this year. Went out to dinner with roomie, her bf, and female friend. No sappy mushy annoying BS for us! Just general insanity, esp. since the other female and myself appreciate yaoi. Suffice it to say that roomie's bf had quite an educational evening. ;)
And did I mention that a week ago I wrote something original? Damn, you have NO idea how happy this makes me. I love to write, but it's been a long, long time since I've written any original fiction. Sure, it was just a page of dark assassin-musings, but I really do want to get back into writing. I used to do it all the time...
And I watched 1-8 of Hellsing over the weekend. I love Alucard. I love Integral Hellsing. Victoria is ok. But damn damn damn - what an awesome series! I love the style and the music and the animation... it's so raw and refreshing. I love it. Maybe it's Alucard's red coat, but it makes me think of what Trigun could have been. (FYI, the end of Trigun utterly disappointed me. Ugh.)
Hrm, I should go to bed, or something along those lines... maybe I'll just watch more Soul Reaver. Great story, well-toned dead guy... what more can a girl ask for? ;)
