VCA and things
2003-02-18 22:40:33
Progression on videos seems to be a bit slow, but I really like my new video and think it may be my best romance/dramatic video yet...
On this whole VCA thing, it's really a shame not to be able to wath every nomination. Seems so unfair to vote for a video in a catagory without knowing what all the others are like. I know it's not possible with the contest structured the way it is, but I hate to vote for something and then later see a video I didn't see when voting be better than what I nominated...
Oh, well, bet of luck to everyone, I'm afraid the contest will be more of a popularity vote more than anything....

Finally rolling along
2003-01-30 23:02:52
I finally am rolling on my newest projects for this year. I want to get them done in the next month or so since then there are two DDR projects and two AMV contest I'll be running. Should make for an interesting year though...
Also, read Lee Thompson's interview. Lee's been a great insperation to me and I reall love his video editing sytle and think he is one of the best editors out there. It's very flatering to have him name me as one of the recent persons who has inspired him! I alwayed loved making videos and never thought that I could do something that would actually inspire others. Personally, I'm just happy that there are poeple out there that get enjoyment out of some of my work, it makes the whole thing worth while for sure in a somtimes gloomy world...

Buried Again
2003-01-10 01:24:49
Seens this year will be a busy one at that.
Three group projects and on the DDR4 one, me and Nic will be overlaying the Bobbit Anouncer! nothing like lots of hours of work in after effects!
Then there is the DD2 Documentary and the fact that I may also be involved in running an AMV contest and doing an AMV track possibly with my video server....
And on top of all that, I am woking on a few new video projects...
Oh well, keeps me out of trouble I suppose....

New Web Pages
2002-11-04 00:41:11
Spent all weekend getting my new web pages up...
Too bad I just don't have more time. After a few editing project I have, I may even have time to get more AMV projects done before christmas...
I've also posted pictures from AWA 8 and features the Saturday night gathering of AMV creators on a table lust outside the dance.

AWA - Aftermath
2002-10-05 18:34:08
Well, it's been almost a week since comming back from AWA. Now that the fall is apon us, it's time to catch up on other projects and things and start to plan/work on new AMVs as well as see which cons I'll go to next year...
AWA was a great time and there were so many editors and friends to meet ans spend time with. I really enjoyed all the lunch/dinners with everyone as well as the one on one and group discussions. I trully think that this is what it's all about and the videos that we make are what gives us our common ground..
I think that everyone there had sonething to contribute and interestin gto say. I wish that the many more editors could have the chance to be there, but due to financial, time and other factors this makes it impossible for some. It's actually a good feeling that we can all get together and have a great time. This is the kind of things that actually give me hope that we can all get along no matter from what country or culture we are from.
The art of AMV editing is trully a universal entity that sees past the boundaries that divides us on this planet. I hope as it grows, the same kind of attitude and freindlyness continues. Hec, if only the political groups that run the show would learn form us....
