JOURNAL: Vlad G Pohnert (Vlad Pohnert)

  • Another new year is apon us! 2002-01-02 00:28:41 Not sure if any body actually reads this, but I might as well add another entry since the new year is here..

In terms of AMVs, I've got my new projects worked out and hop to have them finished in the next 4 months (yea, 2 videos in 4 months). I got to stop trying to creat monstrously time consuming videos before it kills me!

One one the vids will probably take my twice as long as my Memories Dance video, but hopefully the results will be worth it..We'll see.....

For all those other foolish AMV eiditors, I think we're all doomed mesmerized by our computers putting clips together on an endless timeline... Well as they say, I'll have plenty of time to rest after I'm dead, so why start now!

  • All DDR Footage now Captured!!! 2001-11-11 02:10:34 Spend the whole day capturning all the footage for the DDR Documentary.
Have the layout complete and now will be working to edit down the footage... Hope that everyone sends me all thier intros in the next couple of weeks..

Sone it'll be time for bed and another day put to rest...

  • If there was only more time in a day! 2001-11-07 22:43:47 Must be in my nature, but I always seem to have too much to do in any given time both at work and at home..

Been working on the DDR Documentary as much as I can... Getting everyone's intro clips for it has been slow...Then this past week got the flu and nothing got done...and now work is heating up..UUGGG, and I want to get back to creating more videos, but the project I have in mind may take me double the time my last project took (3 months)...

I guess I worry about resting when they nail my into my permanent wooden home....

  • The spectacular life of AMV artitst! 2001-10-02 02:00:56 I might as well jump on the backwagon and add my 2 cents worth and give some insite to the glorious world of Music Video Editing!

Well, to sum it up in two words, IT SUCKS!!!!!

Long hours, no sleep, no pay, expensive and hungry equipment always screaming to upgrade...

So why do it? Is for the personnal satisfaction, or a platform to take over the world by addicting everyone to music videos, or maybe we are brainwashed to do it by the anime companies as free advertising (yea, right..), or could it be we don't have a life and must fill the void with someting...

Well, At this point all I can say I'm still working on what it is about this crazy fasination called the AMV artist. And if I ever figure it out, I'll be sure to pass it on...
