Trip down memory lane
2012-12-17 23:18:14
went through some old CDs of old anime digisubs [really old] and some old amvs and I came across ErMaC's Ordinary World.
Damn good song...
Wow, the urge to get my DVD collection ripped back into this comp and begin editing again is very slooowwllly rising. Thing is no more uber complicated fx if I do decide to edit a new video. Going to take the old school method of fades and probably frame masks and that's it... So lazy to edit hardcore anymore [like the days of Feel the Rhythm]
Music by Ryan Star and artist Markus Schulz have been looping on my speakers and in my car and in my head. hmm...
What to use....

blah facebook :p

I put trivial stuff on facebook but REAL important stuff here hah!
I don't store my proj files... When u release an amv, one simply hopes that you're done. But if you intend to re-release for what ever reason a DVD ripped version of Odorikuruu, I'm all over it ^_^
All this talk about editing and these sudden private messages popping up, dare I return to the AMV world? though I'm really behind the times and my patience coupled with my lack of available time is low, my will to try and the ability to edit in the zone or 'on the fly' I don't believe has left me.
Now amvs have reached a new pinnacle in quality, and filesizes. Blu-Ray ripped amvs anyone? I'll probably get a B-ray player for this comp anyway... hmm...
I suppose if I do go back, I need to complete the unfinished Soothing Symphonic series. Just one more serious soft amv and I can move on to real work [lolz]
gah!

I barely write here and bam, you appear...
You sound much wiser and it seems life's been treating you well. I too have been bogged down by the 8 hour grind...
To show for it, I have a sharp electronics super theater 60" TV and a 3.1 Surround Sound Bar, a divorce, and enough to save up and finally buy [after upgrading] my home...
I don't miss amv editing, I just missed putting out a quality product that hopefully help people feel better after watching it. [they look awesome on my theater by the way, all the vids I may have taken from here ^_^]
I do want to retire early and hell, get back into the swing of things. I know for certain the new blood of this place easily beats me as far as eye candy fx and technical execution is concerned but as long as this place is a fun place to grab and watch music vids, I'll look in time and again...
I'm surprised the forum I accidentally invented [anime pictures] isn't here anymore lolz. So much has changed... Keep on going amv community. Perhaps I will come out of hiatus... some day...
[my new computer is fucking godly for editing too, but again, editing quality requires more time than I wish I had]

Sad sad times are upon me, for AMVs

a damn excellent music video...
The worst part, it's Youtube quality [barf] and I can't download a nice and high quality 60+ Megabyte XVID or what not of this video. Streaming sucks and is a waste of bandwidth if it's something you're watching rapid fire and you want high quality.
damn it...
