JOURNAL: dokidoki

  • blibby blah blib 2002-01-31 12:51:32 Mechaman (and everyone else): This is something else French-produced that I really like. :)
    http://www.savtheworld.com/ The "Molly, Star-Racer" trailer...
It was mentioned on AnimeJump before, but I think the high-res version of the video wasn't there back then.
I'd love to see the resulting show, but... 2004? :(
  • blah blibby blah 2002-01-31 02:54:50 An article about the recent freaky weather:

I'm redoing The K-Team from DVD. Because Ranma Kombat was remade a couple of years ago, TKT is the last video that still uses source from the old All-In-Wonder. I almost didn't bother, due to the cross-colour artifacts on the DVD. I looked at the previous MPEG, though, and there were similar artifacts in the VHS-made one, but I hadn't noticed. Between interlacing and cross-colour junk, editing video can suck sometimes.

I like these guys. Click "On" and wait.
(contains "artistic nudity", in case you're in an environment that's sensitive to that kind of thing :P)

  • It'll leave skid marks on your soul! 2002-01-23 23:41:21 That's got to be, like, quote of the *year* or something.
One guy at work is a videogame fan (well, duh :), including classic ones. He had on his HD a bunch of old Atari ads. The quote in the title is from the Pole Position one. It's sooooo baaaaad.... See for yourself:
http://www.atari-history.com/archives/movies.html (the pole position one is 4M)

"Let's do lots of cuts between the game and real life! They won't notice!"
I haven't watched them all yet, but the Dig Dug one (1.7M) is also a real piece of work. See how much fun they're having! (And I'll assume that's a joystick he's holding at 0:28)

It's been a very mild winter. I look at the weather and say "IS THAT THE WORST YOU CAN DO? IS IT? WELL YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!! YOU CALL THIS COLD? BAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" Then I stop because my co-workers are looking at me funny.
But it's about 10 degrees (C) warmer than usual, and "The World's Longest Skating Rink" hasn't yet opened to the public. (To be safe, the ice has to be 25 cm (inches? I think it was cm) thick, and it's only 19)

Last weekend I went to Boston to visit a friend of mine who moved there. It was about 20 hours total travel time to see him for less than that. :( (and be at a party with a lot of people I didn't know or seem to share interests with) Oh well.

There were a round of layoffs at work on Monday. I survived so far. There'll be a meeting on Friday or next Monday to discuss the situation. We've had a lot of projects cancelled. :( I hope mine gets resurrected. (from the grave ooooOOOOOOOoooooo!!)
  • arg. 2002-01-01 20:07:03 I'll never get anything right the first time. :)
I made a small change to the video. :) Same location.
