A woman at work gave a toy that she had given her daughter to one of the programmers in my room... (he seems to amass quantities of weird junk)
The toy's called a "Silly Slammer", and it's an orange bean-bag with a face on it. It has some sort of collision sensor inside, and when triggered says one of three phrases (valley-girl style): "Loo-serrr...", "What-everrrr!", and "I don't think so!"
Apparently the woman wasn't aware of this feature. She found her four-year-old daughter whacking herself in the head with the toy, then repeating what it said. Like she really needs her daughter learning attitude from a toy. So it wound up in our room.
Then there's the red stuffed star that plays Twinkle Twinkle when you whack it (and we don't know where it came from)... And my Slinky which is never on my desk because the guy next door is playing with it...
