  • Take 4 2002-06-22 17:23:36 I've FINALLY got Quu's archive for this year again. Last year I was charged with going through the 300gigs of amvs and correcting all file listings, getting rid of doubles, and crediting creators. Unfortunately I didn't get that done before AWA, only about 15% actually due to other constraints.

however, now that i actually HAVE the machine, "B-ko" as we call the amv server, i'll begin cleaning up the machine archive for this year.

So! If you start seeing peculiar posts from me, you'll know i'm researching the archive. Also, you may start getting random opinion scores from me as this server also has a fairly recent mirror of Waldo's on it.

Before you ask. . .It is not hooked up to any network, and I wont make a copy of anything for anyone, so dont ask. Go bother the creators. :/
  • grr, hit post buttom too soon . . 2002-06-03 15:42:17 but anyways. . .one of the coolest things about Jacon? Three restaraunts of the fast food variety in the convention center. also 4 atm machines. no cash shortages here, other than tha obvious

Things that sucked? My GF was one of the dealers, and while the signs on campus for JACON attendants were nice, we certainly didnt have fun trying to locate the loading docks.

Also, the dealer liason didnt seem to have enough staff to help the dealers unload. I dont mean carry stuff, but hold doors, elevators, direct traffic, etc. . .

But anyways. I ended up helping mix master the mikes on the JBL board on most of the main events panels whil Patrick was trying to make sure the amv panels ran correctly.

Actually it went more like MTAC did. "Oh Good, TJ is here, work these microphones," as he walked away.

"but i was just. . .oh hell, i guess i better work these," as i saw Brett Weaver walking up to me with the excel saga dvd and his voice demo cd.

Speaking of Brett, Most Excellent debut video. I liked it and i 'm wondering what else you're coooking up in that noggin

  • Jacon post mortem 2002-06-03 15:31:16 Well, thats a little hars. I'm not dying, and Jacon certainly aint either.

Patrick built B-ko at least 4 more times since my last post as it wouldn't remain stable, and the very last time it was built and taken to JACON to mirror the archive to Big Black, it finally works.

I also spent copious amounts of time with my girlfriend. Much fun was had.
  • B-ko 2002-05-11 18:35:23 looks like i'm about to get ahold of Quu's archive for this year again. however tonight i should be walking away with "B-ko" as we call the amv server, and begin cleaning up the machine archive for this year.

  • the rundown 2002-05-09 17:26:51 Well, I dropped the liner notes for Colliding SYmphonies first video into the profile for Not Dead Yet. I'm eager to hear from anyone who's seen it; either when it debuted at AWA 2 years ago, or showed at MTAC last year.

Drop us a line or leave an opinion. :)
