I really don't have much to say, (When do I ever?) so unless you feel like reading a bunch of mindless bable, turn back now. (Keep in mind, that if you continue, I gave you fair warning) Just know, that this blog is meant for me and I don't clarify, so don't ask if you're confused.
Summer's here! I'm pissing my pants as I type this, I'm so excited! You can tell from! all! the! exclemation! marks! Actually, since this is my first summer with a car, I'm looking forward to not going on a vacation. We used to take one each year (or at least, I would find a trip to take by my lonesome) And it's better than setting on the front deck of the cruise ship stalked by the creepy emo guy with the pierced nipples... Ask Toni.
One great thing about summer: Done with the drama... For now. I tried to avoid it for the most part, but I can't help it sometimes. (Referencing the Ben Fowlkes incident) Of course, I was right all along, and I'm still extremely peeved at Trenton, (He finally admitted to me that he did it) but what can I do? We share a lot of the same friends and he's a blackbelt. If we're going to be forced to hang out together, I'd rather him be karate choppin' someone else's ass. :P
So, Speech and Drama (not gossip) is going good. Now that Toni and I have gotten a taste of victory at state, (Being the only two in at least a decade that I know of) I'm preparing like crazy to take as many events as possible to state next year. I'm even preparing for it right now. I plan on taking a Monologue, Poetry, HD or DD (maybe), I'm considering and Interp, and of course the ever so lovely CX Debate. Actually, the funny thing is that I hate debate. I hate policy, I hate structure, and I hate all the bullshit that we're forced to spew all the time. It's just retarded. But I like medals, and Toni's the best debater we have (That in itself is debated among some, but keep me out of it. I have problems just keeping the team together throughout the year) so sham on CX.
I'm not sure what I'll do this whole summer, but I'm guessing it involves a lot of work. YES, I got a job and it's about time. I work at subway *eat fresh*... It's actually not a bad place to work. I get a free meal every day I work, all the free cookies I want, and there's not much work to be done, so there's just a lot of redundant, easy work to do to bide time. (and even when you take a break, you're still on the clock, so that's always good) The pay's not extremely generous compared to the 20 cent higher starting wage at Wendy's, but considering that Subway isn't so greasy and gimey, it makes up for it. And it's definately better than a Ft. Smith job. Let's face it: Even though Arkansas has a higher minimum wage, it's a pretty long commute and gas prices are unforgiving! When you consider how much fuel you'll be pumping into that vehicle, it's really not worth going all that way for just a little bit more cash.
Speaking of gas,( and yes I know this contradicts my former statement about gas guzzling) I really don't see that big of a deal. Seriously, my car gets great MPG and it only costs me about 25 to fill up. Considering that I'm allowed to use my mom's shell card once every two weeks, I'm set. However, if I did have to pay, it still wouldn't be that big of a deal since I get paid once a week. (another benefit of subway)
My plans this summer... I haven't really thought about it. I'll probably go over and hang out with Jay for a week. I don't know what it is, but Roland needs to take a lesson from BA. You would think that it would be so much more violent considering the difference in size (just an idea: Jay said that he has buildings A through J (all about the size of our High School and Jr. High put togehter) with two stories... It's crazy, but they're all so mellow. I'm not sure if it's the drugs or booze that keeps 'em that way, but whatever it is, Roland needs it; a lot of it.
I want a a new console... Or at least a new game for one of my old consoles... I get bored over summer. I think I might ask for that for my B-Day. Either that or a boom mic to go with my camcorder so Grace and I can start filming for Captain Emo. (Long story, but he's got great potential) Eh, maybe I should just have a party. (or get invited to one when my parents just so happen to be out of town) I'm not that lucky, but I can hope.
So... Next year, I've got three summer trips planned! It's kinda crazy right now. I know that not all of them will be able to go, so I'm just saving cash until it's time to make a decision. Hell, I might actually be able to do all of them.
1) My second trip to Lonon and Paris. (hopefully a more cheery one to Paris) It's through the school, and it's not that bad on expense and I LOVE London, so I'm definately saving up for that one.
2) Jay wants to go to New York... New York is like my second favorite city (besides London) so I'm wanting to go there as well... It's not really high on priorities right now just because it's not official. It could alwasy get cancelled the day before.
3)Lastly, I have a road trip planned. It was originally supposed to be me, Ashley, Brian, Ryan, Patrick, and a few of Ashley's friend. Then Trenton became involved and got Ryan, Bryan, and Patrick to agree to go to Las Vegas for a road trip. (It's stupid beause they wouldn't be going inside the casinos) I think Ashley wants to go with the guys just because that' s what they've decided, but I'm unsure. Victoria and Brittany invited me on a road trip; destination, unknown. Maybe to California, maybe to Florida, who the hell cares. The point is that they're my back-up if everyone else bails on me. I'm not picky really
I guess I'm done. Before I go: OLIVIA, I changed me song! THERE!
Lastly: Movies
28 Weeks Later: I watched this in theatres. It's pretty damn good for all you zombie lovers. (I know, they're not really zombies) I think it's better than the first and that says a lot since most sequals are horrible.
Deja Vu: Tried to watch it, (I'm a fan of Denzel Washington) but I couldn't get into it. The concept was interesting and all and I understood it without seeing the whole thing (something that my brother said was impossible) but it just wasn't there for me. I'm not very hard to impress when it comes to movies, (one of my hobbies i watching old, foreign, or low-budget movies) but it was just blah, even despite all the action.
Smokin' Aces: Good. I can't say much more. The plot was a little simple and it was very easy to predict the outcome. Really the character personalities were what kep the movie so interesting.
I'm still counting down the days for HP5 and Transformers. (Yes, I know, I'm a nerd)
K bye, *waves frantically before skipping away*
D!
