AWA
2002-10-01 15:13:23
AWA was really cool, I will have more to say later I promise :-p
BTW Sigh...... I like how MJ and Mckneed and Carlos, tackling Jbone turned into "RVP" tackling him. It's amazing how things get distorted.
But don't worry Jbone that footage won't be in anything I or the Hypo boys do. We already talked about that. You did ask that you not be shown and we weren't around when it happened. I would prefer this doesn't erupt into another Akon type thing if we can keep it that way.

Once Again....
2002-08-20 17:49:26
Well it turns out my dad had anothre blockage in his LAP again. This was his 4th stent to be put in. The problem is now that the scar tissue is growing back around them. The doctor said if happens one more time they are probably going to a do a bypass.
I also found out from the doctor today that my brother and I need to get tested for the same heart problems that my dad has. So we have to head in the morning to get all the blood tests done. As if I needed more stress to help me along with my day, now I have to worry about having a heart condition.
Oh well I guess things like that happen. I am just glad I finished with my client's redesign at about 5:00 this morning. Then I went up to the hospital till about 20 minutes ago. I'm starting to get tired :p
Anyway I hope the results are good on these tests that we are taking. I guess knowing in advance will be good. I can try to do a little better about eating right and getting more exercise.

One of those days
2002-08-20 05:19:13
Man the past few days have been hell. It started out about 3 months ago with me becoming super busy getting job interviews and such in orer for maybe a career change. Well those ar still going okay I have two scheduled in Dallas before the end of the year. I hope those lead to something.
But anyway back on to the past two days.
I had to explain to a client two days ago that sending a credit card number through email for there shopping service wasn't the best option. And due to this I had to rewrite basically the whole whole checkout portion of the site. (They had originally wanted to go through verisign then copped otu due to money). That was a rush job and I wasn't all that happy with the finished product.
Yesterday I got an offer for another contract that I foolishly took because the people who were doing it were so bad that I felt bad for the owners.
Today Or should I say yesterday and today. I have been up for 39 hours so far. I was working late yesterday night and most of yesterday morning. I had a doctors appointment and he told me that I was going to have to have surgery on both my knees in the next 8 months. Due to the fact that the cartilidge is slowly pulling away and out of the knee. The after that I got home and was having major computer problems. So I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to windows XP. It installed just fine but my mouse wasn't compatable. So I ran to the local computer store and bought a knew mouse. No big deal. I walk out to my truck after spending 20 minutes at the checkout trying to show the new girl how to use the register, and find that my truck has been keyed all the way down one side. EVERY FUCKING PANEL!@!!!!!! I am just a little ticked off so I try to drive carefully back to the office, all the while restraining myself from getting out and dragging the guy who cut me off in front of me out of his vehicle.
I get back to the office and install it and then restart and I get an error about the hal.dll being corrupt. So I procede to reinstall windows xp with 3 other disks from my old job thinking maybe it was a corrupt install. All the while I am looking through the knowledge base trying to find something that will point me in the right way. Turns out 3 installs later that my bios needs upgrading but there boot disk makers for the flash aren't working at the site. So I have to pull out my nifty ramdrive program and write a batch file to run there copy and run there flashing program. I do this and everything works great. I am feeling pretty good right about now. Everything is finally working like it is supposed to, I have a great steak dinner I cook and I'm working on installing all my programs once again on the fresh system.
Clock hits 1:20 in the morning and I get a call from my Dad telling me that I need to take him to the hospital he is having heart pains again. So I throw on my jeans and rush over and scream down to the emergency room. We get there and his heart is fluttering all over the place. Nurses and Doctors are doing this and that and finally get it to settle down and then we have to wait 3 hours before they move him to his room. We finally get him moved to his room and then they hand me a 10 page form to fill out about his medical history. So I procede to try to remember stuff I never had to as a child and fill out this form. My brother comes up to the hospital to relieve me and I drive home. Not 10 minutes ago I walked over to my linux box to make sure a program I was running was still doing okay only to find that after 12 hours of running it has crashed with no error log to tell me why.
It's been one of those days that I feel like life turned to me and flipped me off.
Plus I feel like a jackass for not finishing all the reviews I owe people. Guys I promise that I will do them and I really really apologize about all this. I might throw in some free hosting due to my procrastination.
Well on the bright side I will make AWA. Have my hotel and Airplane tickets done already.
Now to pull money out my savings to pay for the stupid deductable on the insurance.
This is one of those days I just need a hug.....
