  • Heh 2002-07-18 20:08:07 Went out looking for an apartment today with Jarvious, Jade_Drakin, and Jamndude (I use their screen names on here, but now, I don't call them that IRL lol)

    Anyway, so far so good.. we find this cool place with flat roofs that we could climb up on top of and do ninja stuff like flip out and cut peoples' heads off and get free cable.. it's bad ass. Anyway... that aside, it was boring.
    Then we came back and played some SNK vs. Captom 2 and watched episode 2 of Galaxy Frauline Yuna, which ended up being funny as hell. :)

    I dunno if I'll work on my new vid tonight or not.. probably not.. tonight I might go over to the KKK (No, not the Klan.. it's a joke name we gave to an apartment that some friends of mine live in.. since four of the occupants are "Kaly, Kaspar, and the Koreans (Tim and Steve)" :P

    Oh well, that's all I can think to put in here for now.

    Might not have the FTP for my AMVs up tonight. I dunno.

    I need to get more Fruits Basket :P

  • New music video coming along nicely 2002-06-25 12:27:39 I put a preview file up on my website for my new music video. It's super low res to keep the size small (1.9MB), but it should give you a general idea of what I've been doing for the past few days (about 4 hours total work time now).     Programs used: Virtual Dub, Adobe Premiere, SmartRipper, DVD2AVI
    Time spent so far: Approx 4 hours
    Inspirations for this video: Song lyrics, This is DBZ Life, the "Dam Dariram" segment from the DDR Project, and the need to make a seriously complex/intricate AMV for the first time in my life. I really want to challenge myself to push my limits and become a great editor. The best way to do thsi was to pick a song like this with a continuous simply beat, and make damn sure I match it 100% the whole way through the video. I enjoyed very much the "jumpy" scenes in "This is DBZ Life" and thought about that for a while. I decided that it would be interesting to have a video that didn't really move fluidly, but rather "jumped" around on the screen. And yet, these jumps were gradual and natural seeming, so even if the video is not smooth, it still flows from the screen and gives the feeling that what you are watching really was made for the song. If you understand any of what I just said, then you understand what I am trying to do with this video.

    Apart from working on my video, I've been watching a buynch of anime with Jacob (Jarvious Demachi) and Jenny (MayukaBug). We've been watching Jubei-chan, which I have seen before, but they haven't.. it's nice to watch it again. Very funny show indeed! And then me and Jacob (Since Jenny hasn't seen all of the original series yet) have been watching Saber Marionette J again and Saber Marionette J to X. I loved Again, and J to X is turning out to be good. My only complaint is the change in art style.. Everyone's heads just seem to round.. Lime in particular looks radically different, and Bloodberry just looks WRONG! :P

    At least the voices are the same. ;) *Worships Megami Megumi Hayashibara-sama*
