forum...an eye opener

wow i've been to the forum lately and its been quite an eye opener. O.O
firstly i didn't know that subtitles are a TABOO here =X .
secondly, i didn't know people crave so much for opinions to be posted on their videos and even went to the extend to exchanging opinions. not that i think its wrong but umm..i guess to think it positively its a way to help you improve?
thirdly, i didn't realise that WMM is also a much hated video editing program and most people out there are advocated of adobe premiers and whatever other programmes (can't remember) opps i'm using WMM. haha. i dun think its that bad for a beginner to use, afterall i find it quite idoit proof. my com doesn't crash often nor freezes after my bro did something to the com, so i htink i'm gonna stick to WMM =) i'm still experimenting it and i found quite a few interesting way to improve ont the video effects. hehe. although its kinda tedious. i dun think i want a programm now that can do multi layering coz i think i'll get kinda confused? haha maybe until i'm better at videomaking
i guess i know the people here now better, as in how they think =) so far video making have been self taught by myself by watching other's amv and meddling with WMM(which intially i did't even know it exist in my com) oh well i hope i can get better =)
i really think i should remove my older videos and remake them before releasing again. i think its such an embarassement to post it here

oh yeah... finally got the subtitles removed and got the video running smoothly!! still at experimenting stage though. thanks to the people at the forum, they're a great help.
hmm... now i'm considering of remaking all my videos removing the subs. and also to improve on them (eg. transistion part) oh yeah. althought its kinda wrong coz its stated in the rules that umm.. videos that are uploaded are supposed to be finalised, not the preview or whatever version. darn if only i knew that subtitles can be removed.
anyway i learnt that the forum is a excellent place to learn about video making. =) i juz realised that quite a number of people take these amv making job quite seriously. =x but i dun deny that they're very good at these stuff in fact. oh well maybe i should follow suit from now on =)
till then i think i'll remake my videos over the next weekend after my prelims x) -
subtitle woes

argh.... can't remove them. i mean i can... but after that the video doesn't play smoothly!! juz realised that how taboo subtitles are in here =x from now on i'm not gonna have any subtitles in my videos anymore. *gulps*
working on Hoshi no Koe amv halfway, but after i watched someone elses amv, i dun feel like posting mine anymore coz mine kinda like dulls in comparison? even thought i put in much more effort than the others that i've done. at least i did review a lot of times and tried to perfect it.
hehe.. anyway i guess i'm still learning and experimenting. there's so still so much to learn and all those soft ware or codec jargons are driving me nuts when i see them in the forum. its juz look so alien to me!! maybe i should go seek for help before i carelessly and implusively upload my next amv.

mistakes

hmm... i'be been re-watching all my videos lately as well as looking thorugh the works of others, which talent i admire. I realised that someting was very wrong with my own creations.... i didn't not add in transistions to make the whole amv go smoothly!! It made the changing of scenes abrupt and akward. oh god.. thanks to the critiques i recieved that made me realise that. Other than that, i also made a big mistake of including subtitiles in my videos and not using raws! i didn't realise it was an EYESORE.
I guess my biggest fault lies in my patience. Perhaps i was too eager to show the world of my amvs that i didn't really do rewatch many times to make imporvements. geez. Though i was tempted to push the blame to the laggness of my WMM, i guess there's still much more for me to learn. =)
Oh well i shall take note of such stuff when i do my next amv. i guess i can only learn from otheres now. Anyway, i can't redo my videos now since my exams are coming.
By the way, feel free to criticize my works! Athought i always find them hard to swallow, but i believe that the only was to improve is through criticism =)
