So I ripped out all the code I did from monday onwards and rewrote everything that wasn't working.
It was written and working in under 2 hours.

Good grief, all that time wasted worrying about nothing. Only thing is I haven't figured out why it wasn't working before. All I know is it's working now.
Good enough for me anyway.

Have I ever expressed my hatred for GUIs and Swing before?
Well let me say it again.
I hate it.
I hate JTables. I hate JScrollPanes. I hate Default Table Models. I hate how you need all 3 to just add a damn row to a table. I hate decoupling. I hate how we need to use the MVC model. I hate how I am not allowed to use Netbeans and have to code all the components myself. (fuq the layout positioning!) I hate how the lecturer only gave us one week to do this assignment. (including learning Swing from scratch) I hate how he makes everything sound so easy like it only takes 5 lines of coding. (complete bullshit) I hate this class and I hate programming. (in general)
Yes I am ranting because my program does not work and I cannot get it to work. Despite trying numerous methods and researching examples like crazy online and applying said examples to my code.
I think I get the logic behind how it works but I just can't seem to write an implementation that actually does what I want.

Tomorrow I am going to rewrite everything from scratch and hopefully find a way out of this godforsaken loop I am going in.
I feel like the further I progress in this computer science course, the less I want to have anything to do with the subject as a career.
