    Cheering like a lunatic in the house because I read news about Xillia being trademarked in the EU/US will just result in some weird stares. And probably isn't the best idea at 11:30pm. But it's okay, I'll just yell some more tomorrow afternoon instead when nobody is around to satisfy my crazy obsession.

    ALSO WHY IS THERE STILL NO RELEASE DATE FOR GRACES F IN THE EU?!?!? I am desperate to play this game. HURRY UP AND ANNOUNCE IT ALREADY YOU SLOWPOKES! D< Or I might have to resort to importing a copy from the US...anyway

    Next step: Purchasing a 3DS & Tales of the Abyss. <3

    Although that can come after I play through Vesperia again.

  • 127 Hours 2012-04-18 20:03:43 -At the start of the movie-

    Sindy: You know he gets stuck and cuts his arm off in this right?
    Me: NO. o__O I thought it was just him stuck between a rock! D:
    Sindy: How else did you think he got out from that rock?!
    Me: Someone rescued him maybe..? xD

    -Both of us then looked up the wikipedia plot summary-

    Me: Oh god, did you manage to read all of that? D: His arm...
    Sindy: Oh man, it sounds disgusting. Should we really be watching this? I'm crapping myself already and he isn't even stuck yet. D:

    -Both of us very very scared and clutching our cushions and blankets by this point-

    Me: Okay, we're going to be brave and watch it. Can't back out now.
    Sindy: *preparing herself* Okay, I'm ready.

    -A little while later-

    Sindy: AHHHH! I CAN'T WATCH THIS ANYMORE, YOU WATCH IT AND TELL ME WHEN HE'S FINISHED.
    Me: WHAT?! NO! YOU WATCH IT AND TELL ME WHEN HE'S FINISHED.
    Both: *SCREAMING* OH MY GOD. DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?
    Me: I don't want to watch this anymore. I'm scared as shit. D:
    Sindy: Me neither. It's just so frightening listening to him as he's stabbing away even though I'm not even looking at the screen! Dx

    -My mum at this point walks in from the kitchen and is staring at the TV-

    Me: MUUUUUUUM! HAS HE STOPPED BLEEDING YET?
    Sindy: Is it safe to look up yet?!?
    Mum: No. Hang on a bit longer. (for some reason, is very interested in the movie)
    Me: *couldn't resist looking* OH MY GODDD!!! *more screaming*
    Sindy: *starts screaming too for some reason*
    Me: I feel kinda sick and scared at the same time.
    Sindy: Me too.
    Mum: ...... (continues watching)

    -After the film-

    Me: Well that was very...interesting.
    Sindy: You mean weird. And scary.
    Mum: I thought it was pretty good.
    Both: o__o DAFUQ?!
    Sindy: B-but, he cuts his own arm off!
    Me: THE BLOOD.
    Mum: Well it's not a horror film though. That's worse.
    Me: Actually, I'd take the ghosts and jumpy shit over this any day.
    Sindy: Same here.

    This film was more frightening to watch than Paranormal Activity. >__> I have never looked away from a screen for so long because I was too scared to watch it.
     
  • Walkthrough 2012-04-17 20:45:37 Brother: You do realize the game will probably last longer if you don't use a walkthrough right?

    Me: OH YOU ARE SO SO SO WRONG PAL.

    FYI, I only started using a walkthrough because I suspected I was nearing the end of the game (after Zaude's rise) but I'd only played around 20 hours or so and for a RPG, that meant something was VERY VERY WRONG.

    That also included grinding time. (I was playing on normal because easy was...well...too easy and no fun xD) So something was definitely wrong.

    And after checking a walkthrough, I realized I missed a tonne of extra sidequests/cutscenes and skits. FUUUUUUUU.

    Brother: But that's kinda cheating.

    Me: Actually it's not. It just lengthened my game play time from 30 odd hours to around 60 hours.

    I do feel a little like I cheated though when I used Yuri's Fell Arm weapon because 5000 attack means I can hit up to 80-90k with just final gale. If that's not cheating, I don't know what is. D:

    Also someone please remind me next time I read a walkthrough, I should READ TO THE END OF THE SECTION. I couldn't defeat the final boss on normal mode because of the Fell Arm extension making him literally impossible to keep up with at my current levels. (Lv 70-72)

    So I had to fight him on easy. But because I was way over-levelled for easy, this meant triggering the secret mission to get Yuri's Last Fencer weapon was difficult because I'd accidentally killed him a few times with an arcane art (Final Gale) that hit 10k+ .__. WHYYYYY?! THE ONE TIME I DON'T WANT HIM TO DEAL HIGH DAMAGE, HE GOES AHEAD AND DOES IT. Damn it Yuri. D<

    The second time I tried triggering his Mystic Arte, it didn't deal enough damage to kill the boss. >__> And another party member killed him instead. (Damn you Judith!)

    And then the third time, as soon as I went into overlimit, used an arcane art and got ready to activate the Mystic Arte, THE BOSS GOES AHEAD AND DOES THE SAME AND DOES IT QUICKER THAN ME. So my OL ran out before I even got the chance to use it. Goddamit.

    I was literally sick of watching the final cutscene before the fight. .__. I reckon I have the lines memorized now.
