The org is invading my dreams 2008-11-21 13:49:19 Last night I dreamt that in the future Animemusicvideos.org had evolved into a space station dedicated to the creation, discussion, and general enjoyment of fan-made anime music videos. However, it was experiencing the same problems it is at the moment--uploads not working, donations down, low server space. And worse, we were stranded in space with Phade on the intercom warning us that we might experience brief power shortages that could last for up to an hour at a time. People around me were starting to ask how long they could maintain life support if the power went out. Then suddenly Phade's voice, still on the intercom, shouts, "Oh, snap!" and the whole ship just kind of breaks apart. Everyone is sucked into the vacuum, where they explode.

I didn't explode though. I remembered to exhale.
The Ideal Critique 2008-11-20 01:44:16 It does not flatter. It does not thank. It judges. To hear that his creation is liked does not satisfy the creator. He needs only to hear that it is well done. The whims of his audience have no bearing on the value of his work.
So a critique does not speak of whims. It does not speak of likes and dislikes. It speaks only of absolutes--of what is done well, and what is done badly--of right and wrong.
