I don't mind constructive criticism, but I hate getting things like;
Poor scene choice; bad sync; bad effects. /end.
Like ... could you be more specific? Telling me I did something wrong when I clearly didn't see it isn't going to help. @_@ (This is especially irritating if the comment comes from a beta tester who didn't bother saying anything.)
And I don't have a problem with stock effects as long as there's a purpose for this. Frankly, stock effects can be a good training ground.
^Such is being said in general based on previous comment/QCs.
Really the only comments that drive me super batty are when people are like,
Ugh, you used this anime or that song? MINUS INFINITY. HOW DARE YOU.
Like, wtf, people, don't expect an editor to apologize for liking a particular show or song. And if they want to make the BAZILLIONTH generic shinkai video, or sparkly action video or whatever, let them. If you know you'll hate it, why THE HECK DID YOU DOWNLOAD IT?

I don't think you should have to apologize if you're giving people criticism, but you also have to realize that not everybody wants it or will use it. And not everybody is striving for greatness.
That doesn't mean though that you should threatening PMs for being honest about something. Those people can take a long walk off a short pier |:>
