JOURNAL: Aedren (Robert Grimm)

  • First Run... 2008-06-25 03:44:31 Ok. So I've started my first AMV. Tenatively naming it "First Run." This is a real transparent joke based on the song name and the fact that this is my first AMV. The song is mind.in.a.box's Machine Run.

    I knew that it'd be a lot of work, but it's turning out to be even more than I imagined. This may be because I'm a terrible perfectionist with things like this, but instead I'm blaming it on the fact that I'm using Photoshop CS3 Extended (however that is different from CS3 regular, I don't know) to recreate/extract a lot of the frames (as in picture frame, not frame from a video) from the anime itself. Couple that with the fact that I'm rotoscoping the main character out of a few anime scenes with After Effects and you get a lot of time spent for a small number of frames (this time I mean frames from a video).

    It's not all bad though, because I am getting very familiar with certain aspects of all 3 programs (Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop), which was one of my goals.
