Wasting Time

Just thought I'd whip out another entry while I'm waiting for facebook to stop being so slow-
I've been doing work lately with a dance type of video, since I haven't done anything fun. I'm using a lot of different footage with it and I'm watching it over and over. I only have thirty seconds so far, but I'm tweaking it a lot because I really want to make it good. I have a hard time because sometimes something will look amazing when I work on it, and then I got back a week later and it's crap.
I feel like the Final Fantasy vids I did were sort of like warm up work. I'm a little embarassed to have people watch them, but I figured I'd keep them up for archive purposes, as well as for others to see me improve.
Anyway, I think I'm really growing as a video maker. I wish I had better equipment and nicer programs, but I don't have a lot of money or a lot of free time for such things- so while I want to become better at making videos, I don't pretend to have lofty ideals of turning into a master AMV creator.
My biggest influence is probably Aluminum Studios. I've been a fan ever since I saw "Blue Mercury" years and years ago. I ended up watching every other vid that was uploaded, but "Blue Mercury" was still my biggest inspiration.
Those are the thoughts running through my brain AMV wise.
I think I'll make another entry at some point that's more about me as a person rather than as a member of this community... maybe later tonight if I have trouble sleeping. ;)

I just wanted to thank everyone who has sent me quick comments on my vids. I love getting constructive criticism, but it's even better when there are tips on how to improve.
If any of you have any helpful tips on improving my future vids, I love to recieve these comments! I'm working really hard on getting better, so I appreciate the time you all take in helping me out.

I promised myself when I first started here that I would use a lot of diverse anime and game footage for my amvs... and so far that hasn't happened... I've been stuck on my Final Fantasy Fandom... ahhh!
I also promised myself that I wouldn't use the same artist for different amvs... and I'm about to fail myself on that too. :( But I LOVE The Killers more than any other band... And I bought their new album Day and Age today... this in itself caused me to fall in love all over again, which if you knew me would be a scary thought!
However, I am going to use their song "Neon Tiger" for a Sailor Moon amv. Exciting right? I'm gathering some footage to create a Sailor Uranus tribute, so be patient! I'm really excited for this! Sailor Uranus was only my third favorite sailor scout, but I love the idea of her, she's so original compared to the others! Not only because of her boyishness, but because of the fact that she definitely isn't all "happy go lucky" like the rest of them. She's very down to earth... I think I love all of the outer senshi because of that trait. :) Maybe it's also why I love Ami? She's so focused and serious! :D
Anyway, I also want to make tributes to my two favorite sailor scouts Sailor Mercury and Sailor Neptune. Sailor Mercury is already partially started, but I want to fix the quality, so it's sort of on hold. As for Sailor Neptune, she'll come later. ;)

Ended up staying home sick today, and spent all day working on that tribute video to the girls of Final Fantasy.
I need to learn to focus on one project at a time, not three. :) -

Hi everyone!
I'm pretty amused with myself, because I had planned to make amvs for many different series. But... I am too obsessed with Final Fantasy X and X-2 lately!
At one point, I was looking for music that I thought would work well for a Final Fantasy VIII video, and I ended up finding a song that I had wanted to use a long time ago for a Tidus tribute!! So I wound up making this tribute, but I will wait before I put it up.
I am currently working on a Final Fantasy VIII video and a Paradise Kiss video. I am very excited about both of them!
In the future I want to make a video dedicated to all the women of the Final Fantasy world. Then maybe I will be able to put my Final Fantasy craze behind me!
