Sakura-Con and its 9th year...

Well I am doing the Anime Music Video Contest for Sakura-Con, as well as working as the Assistant Director of Publicity.
The years just seem to fly by. Seems like only yesterday Baka Con started in 1998, and ran to 1999, then in 2000 it became Sakura-Con and everything has just taken off from there
looking back it seems like all 1 blur, just I feel older as it blurs by, this last year succumbing to my bodys limitations even more than ever
only a few years ago I stayedup the whole weekend, now I am lucky if I stay up 24 hours (doesnt help that the people above me used their executive authjority to order me to bed)
this last year I felt my knee buckle under my weight as I had to run between the hotels, further worrying me as I think I may finally be getting old and decrepid
though there is some stuff I look forward to, 1 thing being seeing my dear Jaime again, we met at the con last year and well have been dating since May. only problem is she lives 900 or o miles away in Billings Montana. I am hoping to visit her in October, and hope she can move out this way soon so we can spend more time together. She is the fiirst person I dated that i really like clicked with, we are into the same things. she makes AMVs, likes to play RPGs and Video Games
She plays Yu-Gi-Oh CCG while I play Legend of the Five RIngs CCg, but hell thats not a big deal because I care about her. -
Well another year down

Well sunday I turned 26 and I am startuing to wonder when I will be where I want to be in my life
7 years ago I had my plan, go through with the Army for 6 years, and then go to college.
well that didnt pan out right, so I ended up drifting from job to job until I went to college for a few years and got my Associates Degree.
I figurred I may as well get my BA and start teaching and work my way to a Masters or possibly higher in communication.
well I have almost been out of college for a year now and havent even started on that goal, and honestly dont know if I will ever complete anything
where does the time go, every year seems to go by just a bit faster than the last, and I seem to have less and less time to do things and meet goals -

Well my computer will be experiencing down time this weekend
I got an 80 GB Hard Drive so I get to go through some nice steps
step 1: Put 80 GB Drive in External Case
Step 2: transfer all I dont want to lose from the 10 GB C Drive and 60 GB D to the 80 GB Drive
Step 3: pull the 10 GB C Drive
Step 4: Put the 60 GB D Drive in the C Drives place
Step 5: Put the 80 GB Drive in the D Drive's place
Step 6: Reinstall EVERYTHING (will take a few hours)
so I am gonna have a FUN Weekend </sarcasm> -

Well minus a small problem I am having with the Member Login I am happy to say a major update for my Website is coming along nicely. One of the Web Students at school is making me a Brand New Graphic Layout so it should look cool when he is done.
Plus I have the Chat Fully Working (Minus the limit on Username Length but once I find that little string it will be better) and after reinstalling my message boad from scratch I am happy the problem with the "log me in automatically" option not working has been fixed. plus 2 or 3 styles have been uploaded. In all hopefully in the next few weeks I can learn how to do an Upload Script as well as finish off the Member Journal (After Fixing the login and getting the new Graphic Design integrated into the site -

I know the AIM Chat has never been a highly civil place in the past, but after returning to it, I actually think it has sunk lower than thought possible, populated mostly by immature people who think leet speak makes them cool (Probably also like Linkin Ball Z AMVs too....) or horny teens who have nothing better to do than toss their sex life arround the room etc....
