"I'll be home for Christmas..." Well, sort of....

Well, here I thought it was a lost cause, but it finally happened...
Ever since I joined the army, I have never had the opportunity to go home for Christmas, mainly because of something getting in the way of it. But this year, right before I go to the hottest place in the world, Iraq, for a Tour of Duty for a year, I have been allowed to go home for Christmas. Well, technically, that's how it is, but I have CQ duty on the Eve of Christmas, and with the difficulty of finding someone to fill my slot, I really have no other choice but to return before Christmas to do it. Ah well, but at least I'll be able to go home and visit my folks. Other than that, just another rant, and if I don't say this later, I'll say it now. Merry Christmas, and a Happy new Year to everyone on the AMV.org. Peace! -
OMG! I finally won something from AMV Contest!

Well, Nekocon is over...
But I was very surprised. An AMV of mine finally won something. At the end of the contest, my video "Crimson" walked away from the contest with Best Technical Video. It's almost ironic, cause I made that quickly. But I'm glad! I knew one day I'd be lucky and Nekocon 7 was it! ^_^ Sorry I'm just so happy and I'm bragging. I guess this is what they call "bragging rights". -

(This Rant brought to you by a deranged otaku) - Few of my video profiles updated 2004-10-06 18:25:36 Nothin much, just a few of my video profiles on AMV.org have been updated better. Also, if ya haven't heard, since I'm deploying in the Army, currently I can't update my website. And it'll be that way until I get back from deployment or I get a laptop before I get back, whichever comes first. So don't be surprised if you visit www.sphrothsworld.com, and think that I've forgotten to update or something. I'll get back to it, eventually. But until then, this is the best way to keep everyone informed.

Ani-magic, and the last ride of AGHM...

Well, the results are in....
Although none of my vids were chosen to be worthy of any AMV category bests at Ani-magic, it doesn't matter. The important thing is, they were seen, and I assume they were well recieved, but there was also so stiff competition there. So to the winners of Ani-magic's AMV contest this year, congratulations! Also, on a sad note, the one video I created that became an instant favorite has seen its last Con AMV contest at Ani-magic. I'm talking about "Anime's Greatest Hits and Misses". Most cons have a rule about no vids over a year old, so AGHM has seen its last con. But for right now, there's only one con left that I submitted videos to before I got moved for deployment. The last con I'll have my vids at is Nekocon 7. I was trying to go to that, however it was unforseen my current circumstances. After that, it's gonna be a long time before you see another AMV made by me, but that's considering if I get a laptop sometime soon, in the meantime, I'm gonna try and continue to update whenever I can. Lata for now.
