  • Profile: Okay, I'll tell you a little about myself. I am a 25 year old, currently unemployed female, my nationalities are Japanese and Filipino, and I'm a fan of any type of anime that interests me as well as video games.

Now, on to some of the good stuff, the first anime that I ever saw was a movie called Warriors of the Wind (better known as Nausicaa, the original Japanese version) during my elementary school days, which I had caught on HBO after coming home from school one afternoon. Luckily my dad taped it for me then, so I was able to watch the whole thing. The second time I started watching anime was during high school, watching ones such as Vampire Hunter D on other cable stations. I've also been a fan of video games since I spent summers over at my Grandmother's house with my out of town cousins playing Atari games. Just recently I've been interested in video games such as the Resident Evil and Final Fantasy franchise for the PlayStation.

I also have to say that my love and knowledge for anime didn't really peak until my third or fourth year in high school when a fellow student in my Psychology class brought the movie Akira for us to watch on tape, as well as my art class on that very same day after morning recess. I thought the first half that we managed to watch looked very interesting and I wanted to find out the ending since she brought it for only that one day, so I ended up buying my own copy. One last thing, no matter how hard I try, I can't stop watching anime, especially on the Cartoon Network during Toonami or Adult Swim when I hear word on the Internet or TV that a show that will air attracts my attention. And if it gets replaced with another that also happens to catch my eye, chances are I'll watch that one, and so on, and so on. So my love for anime is kind of like an on/off thing. Maybe it's because of my Japanese heritage. Who knows! I've even been watching anime like Zoids, the original version, recently in the early, and I do mean early mornings, which has been airing off and on these past few years.

On to my other love, anime music videos...I actually first started downloading AMV's, mainly DragonBall Z ones (as well as Final Fantasy VIII videos) from the net a couple of years ago. It wasn't around until mid-2002, though, during the time I had already purchased my VideoWave III program and finished my Final Fantasy VIII video game, which I love so much, that I actually thought of making AMVs of my own. First I thought it would be a great way to spend some free time and to watch for my own entertaiment, but it wasn't until recently I decided to showcase all the hard work that I accomplished to others. So far I've done Final Fantasy VIII types of AMVs since I don't have anything like video capture cards to gather clips from anime titles such as Akira or my Outlaw Star DVDs to make anime type music vids, and to the fact that downloading tools from the Internet such as PSXVideo to retrieve the FFVIII clips, combined with using special programs on the computer, was almost a snap. I may be eager to do music videos with anime in the future if I manage to buy the right equipment for it, but for now I'm content on making these Final Fantasy video game music videos.

Well, that's it! Thanks for reading!
