don't know if anyone around animemusicvideos.org has heard of me or not.. i gained a bit of popularity for an ill-fated webcomic some time ago. might be of some interest to anyone finding me here. artwork etc can be found on my homepage.
i don't know if i do things differently from any other amv author, but i know that i'm really neurotic about flaws. i tend to notice but disregard most flaws in other people's videos, but i don't expect others to do that for mine. happens with my artwork too. so of course i get that perfectionist philosophy going, which is a double edged sword. i want to make videos that people can't pick apart. that's on the technical side.
on the artistic side, my aim is mainly to make you go 'woah' when you watch a video. reviewability is very important, but nothing will ever match up to a great first impression. the ideal video is one that you watch the first time and it makes you excited and gets your blood pumping, and then you watch it over again and see that it tells a story by itself and has details that you didn't notice at first. that's the goal. haven't made it yet, of course. it's a lofty goal.
above all, i want to make people remember me and what i do. even bad publicity is good publicity, in a way, but i'd rather earn people's respect than to have them mad at me.
well, peace. maybe you'll see a video by me at a con near you. maybe.
