First anime series I ever watched was Dragonball Z and my interests and collection has grown since then. I go to as many cons as I can if they are close to me and I have the money to spend. I started making AMVs in early 2003 after going to Anime Central in 2002, I learned how to make it through this sites tutorial pages and they were a big help. I have not made much as of yet but I plan on making many many more. That's where the Navy kinda slows me down, "work before pleasure", as they say.
As far as anime goes, I like comedy mostly but every now and then a good sci-fi or horror will get my interests, take "Hellsing" for example. My favorite anime list is always changing. My list of anime that I own is a little long to put here, don't want to type that much, but it will fill up quite a bit of storage space.
I mainly use adobe premiere when making my AMVs, but have recently aquired After Effects to spice things up. I also use Photoshop for any still work I put into the AMV. I'm still a novice though when it comes to After Effects, a lot of different things you can do with that program.
My goal as an AMV creator is to eventually win an award in every catagory for a con at least once. So far I managed to win Best Comedy, Best Upbeat, and Best Beginner, all won by my video, "Witch Doctor". Still a long way away from my goal, but I won't stop trying.
Well, I'd say that's about the scope of myself and anime, everyone have fun here and happy editing!
